Maroon 5: She Will Be Loved
Six years ago, L.A.'s Kara's Flowers were a promising alternative band in the mould of Weezer who’d garnered modest radio play and positive reviews. They then had ‘a change of heart’ and left Reprise Records, deciding to become a bloated and bilious American Radio band in the mould of Semisonic.
Truly no artist could ever be musically whole until they had a recorded a whole album of songs worthy of Dawson’s Creek. And thusly they released a record called ‘Songs About Jane’ which has sold about 15 billion copies to eager, young courting couples with unnecessarily large vocabularies.
So hot right now, we can only weep at the alter of ‘She Will Be Loved’, a song described as their ‘Under The Bridge’. This of course isn’t entirely true as the song is utterly wank. What it actually sounds like is the worst moments of Counting Crows attempting to penetrate the Dave Matthews Band in a most uncomfortable way.
It will do very, very well indeed.

Agreed, although the singer does look really fit in the video. Still prefer them to the *ptew* Chili Peppers. Go figure.-

I remember seeing them on daytime telly when they brought out 'Harder to Breathe'... oh, how I guffawed! How I wondered aloud on just how their terrible wah-wah trad rock had made it out of a hot recording studio and onto TV! And how I thought that they would sink without trace!
God, it hurts to be wrong. I mean, why? WHY?

The hook to this is a blatant rip off of some extremely well-known song...any ideas? It rings a bell but I just dunno what it is.
Also, I'd like to state Maroon 5 are Jamiroquai in disguise.

Agreed with the first.... it's the "I'm a man standing in my waaaay, walking everydaaaay" (or something like that) bit... i've heard it before. Someone put me out of my misery and let me slag them off for plaguerism as well as just being shite.-

The verse, to my mind, is extremely similar to Truely Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden
