Britain's brightest rock hopes of yore, Hundred Reasons are back with a single full of covers released on some label nobody's heard of. And then they're going on a worldwide tour of the UK in itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny venues.

Worry not, however, as the Surrey quintet intend to release a proper EP in November at the same time as their tour. Coo at the description of the release for their first 3 records were EPs and they were damn hot, hot damn. The lead track off this covers record is The Smiths' CLASSIC 'How Soon Is Now?' and it'll be out on September 27 on Sorepoint Records. There will also be a Bangles/Atomic Kitten tune, a Tracy Chapman cover and one by AC/DC that's featured on E4 adverts. Now, that massive, little tour...

No gigs where they come from then? Theyre shite anyways. I bet they fuck up How Soon Is Now. Why do they need to tamper with the originals?

They're shite. I really hoped they had f***ed off for good, but this is quite an embarassing reappearance for them. The Smiths? They're not fit to wipe the Smiths' shoes...

i thought i was the only one who thought that they were....shite. has ne 1 else noticed how fashionable it has become to do a good ole rock version of a cheesy pop song? hence the Atomic kitten/bangles cover by this band, 'hit me baby one more time' by Travis. do they think theyre making it good? i reckn they get the cover versions very wrong cos theyre makin a bad pop record into an even worse rock song.

Christ, I hate Morrissey. I could love The Smiths oh so much if he wasn't singing. Probably why I love other bands doing their songs (see: Quicksand's 'How Soon Is Now?', Muse's 'Please Please Please...', etc.).

I have to admit, HR's version of 'How Soon Is Now?' is a bit...meh.

The H*R cover of "How Soon Is Now?" in my opinion, is a bloody good one. Shall be interesting to hear their cover of "Back In Black" though. I will be buying for sure. Oh, and H*R are gonna shread the Electric Ballroom. What a great return at Reading!

I don't know. I'm torn...on one hand is an extremely irritating pop duo, on the other is a droning, egotistical twat whose every smug word makes my blood boil.

It was fine the 3 times they played there on thier way up. Now look at the cunts! A smiths cover and a tiny venue tour? ALARM BELLS?????

I have just booked Hundred Reasons for a show in Derby. Did a bit of googleing and found this thread!!!!! Could I please make it clear that I never wrote that post below. Some one has obviously ised me as a scape goat and hidden behind thier jealousy and used my name.
