Sick of ABBA, Queen and Rod Stewart hogging the musical(s) limelight? Then book your tickets for The Man In Black's Broadway debut NOW*.

No, I'm not making this up (if only I was): Johnny Cash, the musical, is due to open in 2006. According to those in the know, the show won't mimic the dreadful 'We Will Rock You', where the music of Queen is used as a soundtrack to some flimsy story about, um, I dunno what, actually. Instead, it'll concentrate on telling the late singer's story with a fair degree of accuracy.

It's hardly going to make for a jovial evening's entertainment, is it?

* You can't really, not yet. Sorry.

The Man In Black on Broadway

yay
i guess.

question: if zeplin had replaced plant with cash, would they not have been the finest band OF ALL TIME, rathert than gash?

answer: why yes, yes indeed.

Re: The Man In Black on Broadway

I think it's a little harsh of you to call them gash - when they weren't sucking themselves into their own arses they were fine - but yes, it would have been all gravy.

Johnny Cash + Broadway Musical = Same old bad idea as the other musicals...
