Perry Farrell: Song Yet To Be Sung

This is a good one! Consider the following snippets of info:

1. This is the Jane's Addiction singer.
2. This is his solo new age* drum and bass album.
3. There were multiple copies of this in the bargain bin for one pound.

This is doomed from the start isn't it? Surprisingly not! It is quite cheesy, but the songs are catchy and good fun. Perry wails on in his ladyman voice about festivals and parties while some extremely pleasant if slightly predictable shiny electronic music trundles along in the background. There's plenty of changes of pace and style that keep it interesting and I still play this a fair bit. Although not a lot.

Most importantly, this has one of the most ridiculous covers in my entire cd stash. If a bloke wearing only a golden cape and a pair of pants blowing a huge horn floats your boat then by all means have a look!

*I don't actually know what New Age is. It was definitely one of the rhythms on my crappy yamaha keyboard.
