Mando Diao, the (hopefully sooner rather than later) natural heir to Sweden's rock n roll crown are to release their debut UK single proper.

'Paralyzed' will be out on November 15th.

To highlight such matters to you, the all-important record buying public, the band are on a short support heavy tour on this Isle.

8 Leeds Cockpit with The Mooney Suzuki
9 London Buffalo Bar - Artrocker night

They will release 'Hurricane Bar'- their debut UK LP release early in 2005.

Does anyone have any info on the 'art rocker night' at the Buffalo Bar, age restrictions, ratio of indie twats to regular people etc. . . .

Mando Diao are fucking cool, MTV2 should play their video more.

thebuffalo bar is horrible. last time i was there they had to keep the sound down because the pub upstairs was moaning!
will be at the barfly to watch these though....

I saw these guys when I was in Sweden last week and they kicked A$$!!! It even made up for the lack of any support act.

Had both albums (Hurricane Bar and the previous Sweden-only Bring 'Em In) on near-constant rotation since, only relenting for the Kent and TSOOL CDs I also bought while over there, all obscenely cheap...

due to the cancelled shows in sheffield and manchester they play more london instead. they do notting hill arts club on monday and then artrocker at buffalo bar on tuesday. damn i wish i was there!! saw them at the barfly last time and it was f-ing amazing. pure energy.

BTW I did and thoroughly enjoyed it, but was once again under the influence of considerable amounts of tequila so judgement may have been impaired! I thought they gave a really good performance, were a tight band etc you could hear their retro influences but I like that anyway. Didn't think they were groundbreaking but they made up for that by being very handsome.

Am gonna go on Tuesday without the alcohol bit and try and remember more..
