Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Shame the new album is really bad.
they really spent themselves on Source Tags. -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Really bad? Why, what's bad about it, and where did you hear it? Source Tags was so good, I'm hoping you're wrong about this one!-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
new album is up on soulseek. It's not really bad, bot not as perfect as source tags. Hasn't stopped me loving them. Although why they have to play ULU of all London venues - it looks like a school hall! And they were crap last time they played there. I'm desperate to see them but think I'm going to hold on for ATP (which has my dream line-up so far) as otherwise it might be too much fo a disappointment. And i don't know if I could bear that.

Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
I. Need. To go to. ATP.-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Yeh, you heard the album? I admit the single took some getting used to but other live stuff etc i've heard sounded rather ace.
By the way anyone who hasn't heard the new single can do so here...... www.myspace.com/andyouwillknowusbythetrailofdead-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Actually I really like it, thanks for the link. It's certainly far poppier than anything on they've done before and I'll admit the lyrics are a bit questionable but it's got a great tune and it's so propulsive I can't help love it.

Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...

Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
why cant they play somewhere else... :( -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
They're playing here this Saturday. Cant wait to see it. new single isnt very punk is it?-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
I know, it's got an almost pavementy vibe to it but it grew on me alot. The chorus is still very trail of dead i think and apparently it's by the far the poppiest moment on the album.

Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
For anyone London-centric, Selectadisc have an import of the new single with a couple of new b-sides (i think, anyway..). -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
the album is pretty easily gotten on soulseek.
but i'd say it was probably their worst effort so far.
unfortunatly. -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
say it ain't so!
well i've got my tickets for ULU anyway. i've never seen em before. -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
The new album is actually very much a grower. It's not as rock as previous efforts and it does lose something from Neil's lack of imput, His songs are always fantastic and I hope he features on future output. Despite this, the album does feature some very fine piano led tracks and when I say piano, I don't mean they sound like Keane. I would say Pink Floyd, David Bowie and The Who are bigger influences on this album than MBV and Sonic Youth.-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Didn't Neil work on the new LP, though? The previous newstory on here says that, anyway..

Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Holy shit. I just got back from their show. It could easily be the greatest show I've ever seen, and I've been to a couple. Man, its gonna take a couple of days for anything else to sound right. -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
They are shit now. I can believe what *Tenwords* is saying. The two new guys look awful, no i won't be buying the album nor going to see them again.-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
I think the new stuff is ace. And I am looking forward to seeing them live muchly!

Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
hi guys. i bought two tickets for the ulu gig, one for me and one for my only friend to have even heard of trail of dead. he now can't come. so if anyone wants the tickets i can sell them to you tomorrow, instead of you buying them on the door. let me know.
i'm still undecided as to whether i should keep one ticket for myself and just sell my friend's... i was really looking forward to the gig, then heard worlds apart and was really quite disapppointed. is it worth being a loner for a night for a once-great but now tired band?? hmm. -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
According to NME they've gone 'opera' the pretentious a-holes.-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Opera?
No.
'Worlds Apart' is as opera as I am eight-legged.
It's vaugely archaic, in so much as there's a 70s rock feel to some songs, but that's as far as it goes.
Second track is a monster.-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
What? NME had a story in it that isn't about the Libertines? 'kin hell! I guess though Trail Of Dead would be operatic to NME because the song dynamics extend beyond verse-bridge-chorus.
I've had Worlds Apart on the headphones for a couple of weeks now, and it's a stunner.-
Re: Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Agreed.
That third track - most pissedoff song I've heard in a long while.
"Look at those c*nts on MTV...!"

Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Looks like a band called KASABIAN(on NME cover) are a threat to all US bands...
ToD are not the same anymore since Neil Busch left. -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
I can't stop playing their new music. It's the best album yet - and I've only heard parts of it! I particularly love "And the Rest Will Follow" -
Trail Of Dead. UK. Do the maths...
Vamos(reviewer,on more recent update) hates it.
I can't stop listening to Kasabian, they are gonna rule next year.
