Radiohead (again)

Cos theyre really quite good.

hmm

on Friday probably Radiohead, on Saturday Biffy Clyro, and on Sunday Muse.

What a festival that would be....

it's been done

but I've never been to Glastonbury, so it doesn't count :)

oh

yer muse would be good, thatd be my other.

Pulp...

One last hurrah...seems to be a swell of interest again due to Deluxe re-releases and the growing popularity of bands like The Long Blondes et al.

not to mention

excellently written and very popular articles on some very good blogs

Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band
Aretha Franklin
Parliament

Populist

ABBA
Madness
Kinks

Calvin Johnson
The Locust
Space

people who could/would actually headline?

neil young w/crazy horse
REM
can't think of any others who aren't dead/split-up.

other stage headliners would be a more fun game.

Neil Young

Tom Waits
Sonic Youth

SOCK IT TO ME, GRANDADS!

^

Good choices.
I wish Jimi Hendrix was alive.

Papow

Friday - These Arms are Snakes
Saturday - the reformed Carter USM
Sunday - Plump DJs

Yes. In an ideal world

I'd have Hendrix and Otis Redding.

I think that happened at Monterey. Oh for the summer of love!

Hmm, this would be ideal for me, yet not possible

Friday- Radiohead
Saturday- Hendrix
Sunday- Muse

Now THAT would make a good Glastonbury. Unless Lily Allen was there.

knife

could co headline with the flaming lips on the saturday.
so it'd be:
Muse
The knife/flaming lips
Dire straits.

Fair enough...

but MUSE???!

oh well if were bringing back the dead

and resurrecting the long split up

Main Stage

Fri - Joy Division
Sat - Smiths
Sun - Pixies

2nd stage

Fri - British Sea Power
Sat - Half Man Half Biscuit
Sun - Guided By Voices

Dance stage

Fri - Public Enemy
Sat - Aphex Twin
Sun - James Brown

i'd choose

exactly the same main stage bands as you, but i'd sneak Tom Waits, Pavement and Delgados onto the 2nd stage.

Friday: Radiohead
Saturday: Coldplay
Sunday: Stone Roses

Yes, I am being serious about Coldplay. If you've not seen them live, you aren't allowed to judge them live, I'm afraid.

i have

they're shit

Yeah, they're not good live

at all.

looks like it's gonna end up being...

...the fucking killers.

http://www.nme.com/news/the-killers/23858

Looks like nme have fucked up a bit though, after promising to "exclusively reveal" headliners today.

Friday: Springsteen
Saturday: Smashing Pumpkins
Sunday: Ryan Adams

am I not getting the game or

...am I the only one who wouldn't want a band I liked headlining cos that would mean I'd have to watch them in a field with 50,000 people, lots sitting about eating their lunches, with shite acoustics looking at tiny dots?

you're not getting it

because we're talking about Glastonbury, where normal huge-crowd-rules don't apply.

except if you nearly get crushed to death watching blur circa 98.

or carried away from your boyfriend by the crowd watching radiohead in 2001. Big crowds at the main stage at glastonbury do count.

I would have:

Rufus Wainwright
The Cat Empire
Aretha Franklin

TALKING

HEADS

right

Friday - Arab Strap
Saturday - Tindersticks
Sunday - Scott Walker

erm

Friday - Kings of Leon
Saturday - Bruce Springsteen
Sunday - Jonny Cash

...

radiohead
the rolling stones
pulp

Bowie

Mcartney
Pulp or Young

The Cure

Pulp
Tom Waits (in a tent)

thats

a good one.
