Yes, it is true! Mark, Shutty, Leigh & Tony or to use their collective name, Terrorvision, are set to reform for a string of dates in April of next year.

Although the official news is yet to come from the 'Vision camp, numerous venues have already listed Terrorvision dates with some already selling tickets. Gigs that we have found to date are :-

April 2005

10th - Norwich UEA
11th - Cambridge Junction
12th - Nottingham Rock City
13th - Birmingham Academy
14th - Manchester Academy 1
16th - Leeds University

Tickets are around £15 at the above venues. More news as and when we get it.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

I'd like to think my posting on the forum kicked this off, but I'm sure you discovered it elsewhere. You missed a date mind... Nottingham Rock City on April 12.

I'm sure some people are going to mock, but I can't tell you how happy this makes me. Terrorvision are one of the rare acts that never do a bad show.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

haha! the come to brum. wicked.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Hahahah, what the fuck?! The last time I saw them was in 2001 with King Adora {forgive me; I was 14}, man. (Y)

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Have you heard that song by stereogram? That "walkie talkie man" song that's getting loads of airplay? The one that's an OBVIOUS RIP OFF of "Pretend Best Friend"?

just wonderin'

sp xx

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Saw it briefly on Top Of The Pops, got enraged by the obvious rip-off, forgot about it five minutes later, now reminded and previous rage returns!

Couldn't be any more blatent!

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Oh good lord no. Please no.
All those years of counselling from the first time they were around, looks like I'll be needing to book myself in for some more sessions.

All together now 'doo wap bap ba doo wap'

ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

oooh, it's not just me that noticed that steriogram song then.

I have to say I'm absolutely thrilled with this newsI interviewed terrorvision once and they were dirty old pervs (we had to go straight from school to the interview, in our uniforms...) but I still think they made three perfect albums (the first three, lost it a bit after that) and will definitely be going. I notice there's no London date yet though...

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

This makes me happy.
For a time, I really liked Terrorvision.
I'm not even kidding.

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

There's no need to be ashamed. Terrorvision gigs were an hour and a half of shouting at the top of your voice, while onstage an overgrown child who seemed to have eaten too many sweets jumped around like a lunatic. Add that to the fact that they had a fantastic ear for pop music and only the most cynical person could fail to raise a smile...

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Are we talking about the same band here?
Terrorvision yeah?
Northern band from the early 90's?

Creditable people actually liked/like them?

I'm stunned, genuinely stunned.

The world was a better place without them. I can still remember the loathing back in the day. Nobody I knew liked them, quite the opposite in fact.

Come on, you're all having a laugh aren't you?

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

They were probably the least self-conscious band in existence. Anyone who uses words like 'creditable' (or indeed 'credible') seemed to hate them. I just thought they were one of the most entertaining bands around - I always went home with a massive grin on my face.

I took a look at your profile, thinking it would all be stuff I disliked, and oddly enough found that your tastes are generally very similar to mine! Let's just say that anything that makes people happy can't be that bad. Except Toploader. Please don't let them reform.

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Bac

To be fair Podge9, if in 2004 you're rating the Red Hot Chili Peppers as a 4.5 on your profile, you've got to be salivating at the return of the mighty Terrorvision.

I really liked them, although it is getting a bit ten-years-ago round here at the moment. The Wonderstuff, Pop Will Eat Itself, Neds Atomic Dustbin, S*M*A*S*H, Echobelly and now Terrorvision? What's going on?!

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Bac

Fair point Damian.

And Bamos, my rating of RHCP is based on their full career which yes, does include the weaker new stuff.
If you're suggesting that Terrorvision are a better band than RHCP you should not be allowed back on this website.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion of course, just not that one! :)

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Bac

I was being slightly tongue-in-cheek. Only slightly mind...;)

doo-wop, wop wa oooh wop, wop wa ooooooh. It's genius! Let's put the FUN back into rock. Woohoo!

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Bac

I dont particularly like this band, but I think pretty much anything is better than RHCP, to be honest.

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Bac

>If you're suggesting that Terrorvision are a better band than RHCP you should not be allowed back on this website.

I'll quite happily say just that, and not just to be controversial. I like a lot of RHCP stuff and have all the albums, but for sheer entertainment and the love of pop music, give me Terrorvision anyday.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

ha ha. you gonna wear your t shirt in celebration mike?
i actually wouldnt mind going to this....

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

I might.
It's got bleach stains on it, though.
Lame.

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Are you sure it isn't tequila?

BOOM fucking BOOM.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Terrorvision are like the wildhearts,Pwei and Wonderstuff never cool to liked these days but you can bet on a load of folks going to their gigs.

If you are cool and sarcastic you'll have a field day slagging em off. But who cares.

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Spot on. I'd never class 'em as one of my favourite bands but they were a hell of a lot of fun... fuck image and cool, anyone that can't jump around to 'Perserverance' and get all sweaty and red-faced while grinning insanely has lost too much of their inner child... :p

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

I have to stick up for The Wildhearts out of that list because they're still making music as good as they ever did. Terrorvision will be worth seeing because a Terrorvision show is a thing of joy unless you have a heart of stone... but if you liked The Wildhearts, their records are still worth buying.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

the 'Vision!!!!! arghhhh. bugger it, NOW i live in london and wont see them!!! remember they did a blinding gig at norwich UEA in 96 and were supported by a relatively unknown act called Feeder. ironic at their respective successes eh? oh and Terrorvision played my first year Summer Ball at Demontfort leicester - never seen so many people in smart clothes (me in a dress) moshing to Oblivion etc!!!! loving the comeback!!! and you betting they still open the shows with Tony announcing in his Northern burr 'ello, we're Terrorvision and we're from Bradford..'

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

terrorvision at the barrowlands was my first gig in 94 i think it was. isnt that interesting?

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Two more dates: Cambridge 11th, Leeds 16th.

Re: Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Article is updated with dates and venues :)

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Terrorvision were one of the best bands of the 90s. and you couldnt have wished to meet a nicer bunch of guys! ok yatesy was a perv! but the others were just the best guys.

probably my best memory ever was when Shutty tried to give me a drumstick at stockton he tried to throw it to me twice but i missed both times there were loads of lads behind me with long arms knocking them out of the way! so he came back on stage after they had finished with a drumstick in his hand gave it to a bouncer and pointed at me thats something i will never forget!

i cant wait for this tour so far ive seen terrorvision 13 times and i plan on trying to go to ever gig on the tour!

~Laura~

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

What can I say, they're the first band I started listening to, the first band I saw live, the band I saw live most (39 times... so far). The best band I ever saw live, who'd want to see the other indie bands of the time - spend an hour and a half staring at your feet to depressing songs, or jump around like a nutter with a huge grin splitting your face. No contest for me! They're a great bunch of blokes too, always had time for a natter.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

First Band i ever saw live.
Best band i ever saw live!
Fecking awsome - cannot wait till Monday when i get to see my boys again @ Cambridge - where it all started for me, although it was @ the Corn exchange 1994, Junction this time round! Going again on Friday to the London show and like many of you have said - i am 100% Guaranteed to come out with a smile on my face and a spring in my step!
Good times :)

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Saw the penultimate gig in London 3 and a half years ago - quality. Can't wait to see them on friday 15th at The Forum.

Does anyone know who the support acts are and what time the boys are due on stage? A few beers need to be supped first.

And come on you lot, let's have a report on the early gigs.

MAIL ME

See you there

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

terrorvision rock..no questions.i can't wait to see 'em in leeds, i've seen em so many times.their farewell gig at penningtons was amazing.i'm taking my kid bro to the leeds show cos he was too young last time round but he's been a fan for years...RAWK

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Wow - went to see the lads on wednesday night in Birmingham and had a great time - they are just as good as I remember. I was really suprised how many youngsters were there (teenagers), as I thought only aged old twenty somethings like myself would remember them. It was great to see them though and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for another random tour in the future.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Saw them last night in Manchester, my first time seeing them. Only 18, but my big sister's loved them forever, so yeah. So very very good! AND there were the magic words "See you next year!" at the end! Anyone know if there's a message board with people talking 'bout the tour at all?

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Been doing the full tour and the boys have been amazing! They still have that spirit and enthusiam that made them what they are. Can you believe that we saw them TWICE!! The first time was in wetherspoons in birmingham and in the oxford in manchester! They have got to reform because they are one of the best live bands goin. They were absolutly amazing SHIT HOT!! Cant wait for tonights gig in leeds hope its not the last. C'MON

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Saw them in London last night. Totally awesome and have lost nothing in the 3 and a half years they have been away. Thought I would feel old at 35 but there were plenty there older than me as well as the young ones - just goes to show how universal this band are. As many have said, they just have to reform and when they do, I'll be first in line.

By the way, the filmed this one for release on DVD. Will be better than what I recorded on my mobile.

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Saw them in leeds last night and they were amazing! Tony said 'see you soon' at the end so who knows. The DVD shud be gud cos you cant get any live videos of them anywhere. I thought Norwich was the best one because of the build up and to see if they were still as gud - Knew they wud be! Nottingham was the best crowd as they were all up for it but every gig was excellent! Did anyone else do the full tour? Hope its not the end again. SHIT HOT!

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Gigs from the past I remember best are Rico's in Greenock (there was about 20 of us - I nearly invited my 55 yr old dad inside, he loved What Makes You Tick so much) and The Venue Edinburgh (Seeing 'Keep On Moving' on the playlist not disappointing....).
Spontaneous trip south of the border at the weekend left me upstairs in London but still had some booze and loved it, the whole upper tier was shaking. The only act they can't beat is The Boss (is that not the best compliment possible?).
But why no trips to Caledonia? Everyone knows Glasgow (and in particular The Garage) is the centre of the earth.....

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Saw them at The Forum ... 3 years away but they've still got it. Can't wait for the DVD. There's rumours of that B-sides album finally being released too - maybe even with unreleased tracks!

Theres A Party Over Here: Terrorvision Are Back!

Terrorvision are playing the Bulldog Bash in Stratford Upon Avon on the 13.08.05. They are also doing a warm up gig at the Boardwalk Sheffield the night before. Maybe Laika Dog(tonys band) might get on at the Bulldog Bash aswell so might give you a chance to see them too! See you there!
