I am a massive slint fan, I am not looking forward to them returning, it will detract completely from the mystery the beauty and the essence of what makes them tremendous.

Re: Slint announce 2005 London gig

Also, someone who wasn't into them in 1988 may get to see them live! The bastards...

Re: Slint announce 2005 London gig

Are you saying that Slint are so great because they split up so early? um i dont think so, i got my tickets, and i know itl be great, but i dont think i will be comparing the 'reformed' Slint to the original band, any news on support acts?
x

Re: Slint announce 2005 London gig

so of all the bands that have ever reformed, have any ever been anything but a poor tribute to themselves?

Re: Slint announce 2005 London gig

I dont think i said that, you must have read it the wrong way. Im saying you cant compare the 'old' Slint to the reformed Slint because not all the original members are there. Dont you think what you said is a big generalisation?

Re: Slint announce 2005 London gig

Brian McMahan, Britt Walford and David Pajo are all playing. That'll do me fine.

I'm in trouble with my mates, cos I fucked up and didn't get ATP tickets in time - other people fannying about cost me my place there - so I bought a ticket for the Forum show as soon as I found out about it. I'll go on my own, if necessary. Really looking forward to it, personally.
