Ricky are still going???? Man, I remember when they used to spam these very boards!

Re: Ricky does Amsterdam: Split Single & Tour

This year they've had a 4-star review in Q Magazine as well as top-ten indie single and a top-50 single in the official chart.

Now they've signed their first record deal.

So yeah...I think they ARE still going!!!

They're rubbish aren't they? I saw them live and they had nice harmonies and stuff but weren't remotely exciting or cool. And they supported The Bluetones, who were also shit. Apart from Marblehead Johnson.

Ricky got caught out as being biogted tools a while back after sending out some sectarian bollocks to all those on their mailing list, see here http://www.teenagefanclub.info/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11668&highlight=ricky. Oh aye and they arent very good either :-|

Re: Ricky does Amsterdam: Split Single & Tour

Sacrasm doesn't make sense to you then??!!

Ricky does Amsterdam: Split Single & Tour

I actually understand the concept very well, however what i couldnt understand was the bizarre analogy drawn in the Ricky mailout between Frank Macavennie appearing on Fantasy Football and Bin Laden speaking at Reagan's funeral???? Just seems like a piss weak attempt at veiling a obviously biogted rant
