65days - Peel session, December gig, album of the year award

65daysofstatic will be live on Radio 1, kinda, this Thursday when their Peel Session is aired.
The band recorded the session shortly after Peel's death last month. Whilst recording at Maida Vale, the Sheffield quartet apparently ran into pop crumpet, so I'm told, Daniel Bedingfield. No word on whether or not a collaboration's on the cards, but we're thinking not...
In addition to the Peel Session, 65days will also play at a Playlouder Singles Club bash at the Camden Barfly on December 17th, with Ludes and some other band we don't really know. A full UK tour will kick off in February.
Finally, the band's debut album, The Fall Of Math, picked up the UK Album Of The Year title at the second annual Play Dead awards. Well, I say awards - it's not like they got anything. Still, it was voted for by readers of the magazine, the website for which is here, so the 65 boys must be doing something right.

Jeniferever are a bit rubbish. Their onstage chintzy lamps are quite nice though.

I can tell you a bit about Piranha Deathray.
Their singer is a wonderful man who wears white suits and hands out Sake!
Although the Sake is still rumbling around my system!

really looking forward to the jenniferever gig. the fall of math is awesome, one of the best new things ive heard all year. should've released 'this cat is a landmine' as the single tho !!

I can't wait for the gig on the 17th December, 65 DOS are stunning live.
Their cd 'The Fall of Math' is one of the best cds of the year for me.
What with the cd, single, Peel session and tour next year, they should be massive! -

you guys should by iris by jeniferever, the first track is easily in the top five songs released this year (although the rest of the ep is a bit rubbish) seriously, its like a pop sigur ros or something, beautiful.-

nah fuck that, the first track pales in comparison to the second track, and parts of the others as well.

Mmmm I love this band! And I'm definitely taping the Peel Session, cannae wait...

PlayLouder Singles Club Presents: Ludes, 65 Days Of Static, Piranha Death Ray
Don't be put off by the fact it says the Ludes, for some strange reason 65 DOS are not listed on the ticket link. It is the correct one as I have bought tickets via this link for it. Should be a fantastic evening.
