don't worry, it's about clothes not periods.

i love primark. i actually love it. last week i went through to glasgow and i bought a dress for £6, shoes for £4, £3 and £6, a bag for £2 and 2 belts at £1 each. i'm now scared to go back because i know i won't be able to come out without an armful of stuff- but oh, so cheap!

and also, which do i go dancing in tonight {because my mum gave me a tenner for getting into college, yey!}:

a) red polkadot dress & red polkadot flat shoes- which i wore out the other night, and it is probably going to be the same crowd

or

b) black sparkly skirt and sequinned wedges that hurt my feet a teeny bit but are extremely pretty

HMMM?

oh gosh.

also, footless tights, awesome or awful? i was unsure at first, but now think they're great. so long as they aren't too long {the longest they should be is halfway down your calf} and aren't worn with fucking shorts or under PEDAL PUSHERS of all things. i mean jesus i didn't know people still wore those things.

i miss

tenners for getting good results and stuff. sorry i'll go now.

my mum never usually does it

i was always well jealous when my other friends got money for their exam results and i didn't. the trouble with being told to "do your best". it's only because i was whinging about not being able to go out tonight. i think she just wanted to shut me up.

Primark for girls

= apparently quite good (im taking this from girls telling me)

Primark for boys = worse than topshop

i like how it's all boys who have replied so far :D

also you're in edinburgh, are you coming to white heat? dancing til 5AM. OMG.

:(

I have work tomorrow, and it has been a loooong week - rubbish excuses i know, but true none the less.

boo

i was hoping to meet you knowing who you were this time, haha.

well, if BTBW ever starts again

i will be there. Also the Egg, but not this week cos someone is inconviently having a birthday.

In edinburgh news, apparently there is a new shop opened in leith walk with lots of retro clothes which is tres good as well.

The sparkly skirt

sounds good and the crowd have seen the other outfit. I quite like footless tights.

Outfit B

and footless tights are good, as long as they conform to the rules you stated.

i am also a bit sick of seeing them with cut off denim miniskirts

i mean, they're okay, but it's so overdone!

Indeed

besides it's getting to cold for miniskirts now.

yeah

its a bit out dated now. I think footless tights are best under shift dresses or smocks. Its so annoying that the shoes that hurt the most are always the prettiest.

being a boy

is rubbish

Agreed.

Boy clothes shopping sucks.

I'd hate to be a boy

the choice of clothes can be limiting, and you never have anything sparkly to wear.

It can feel very limiting...

with what's on offer for boys, oh well.

That's why we hate clothes shopping with girls, you get all the interesting stuff!

gay^

Footless tights

and leggins are the bee's knee's!!

I know about the shoe thing too! OWCH! I think if pretty shoes were people they would be abserloute bitches. They hurt so much. The other day i went out dancing and in the morning me and my friends just laid there laughing at how much this one foot of mine had swollen up and called it my club foot, lol.

Think we were still drunk.

But it has only just started feeling better. I can remember standing there smiling in a daze and thinking when is this guy going to get off my foot, if i hadnt been drinking i would have most probably made more of a deal out of it.

This is so materialistic though, but clothes are great and bargains rule the roost! They make this gal smile anyways.

I have one pair of shoes

which I love more than anything and they are the best pair of shoes ever. Unfortunately they give me bad blisters:(

Shoes

they can be so beautiful yet so cruel.

my auntie

who has good fashion taste always told me as a kid you have to have the pain to have the fashion.

Now i have deformed feet and other kids laugh at me.

lol

it's seriously unfair

i need to train myself to walk in the most adorable black peeptoe heels i have. right now it's impossible, the only heels i can walk in are wedges.

also, update: i'm wearing the sparkly skirt & shoes that hurt. but i'm taking plasters.

i wish i could buy clothes like girls do

and didn't seem to spend a minimum of £65 on jeans and £50 on jumpers and £50 on trainers...

SIGH

£65 is a real minimum on jeans, i usually pay around £90.

You could buy half of Primark for £65

I bought a fab green polka dot dress from there at the weekend. I love it more than anything right now.

haha

I don't think i've ever spent more than a tenner.

My jeans cost £45 on average.

Marks and Spencers trousers are £20 bargain.

i hate those shops though

they're too big and disorganised and i get headaches

i prefer little boutiques with two members of staff that stare at me intently

in the little Levi's Vintage shop in soho they used to employ some HOTT indie girls a few years back

i used to try on LOTS of jeans

I know what you mean...

it must be the combination of the bright lights and the wafting smells of the perfume counter which make me feel ill.

i get overwhelmed by the speed and the loudness of everything

and i get sensory overload

i'm used to that kind of thing from living in London, but i can't handle it at all when i'm clothes shopping

i like taking my time

I hate...

how when I go clothes shopping, I suddenly become the most indesicive man in the world and take far too long.

exactly

i'd rather be like that in a tiny shop that a huge one filled with the general public

I know!

I hate the general public! ;-D

i always feel intimidated in tiny shops

i like big shops where no one is looking at you specifically.

primark is great.

also, footless tights: NO NO NO.

you would say that

take me shopping for cheap clothes!

footless tights are hideous!

i always get really angry when i see really cool coloured/patterned tights and then i find out they're FOOTLESS.
grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

boys clothes are rubbish, let's buy you girl clothes!

YES!

They are rubbish!

Everyone wears them and they look ridiculous and argjjkefh!!!

Anything I like is always too expensive. Damn you, shops. Damn you.

is it the halterneck one?

cause i have it in red, it's adorable

No

it has little cap sleeves and a sash round the waist. I now want a red halterneck one though!

that sounds nice

I want a polka dot dress...haven't got ANYTHING polka dotty which is quite remiss of me.

Footless tights, aren't they just slightly seethrough leggings? i say no to such things and not only because of my hulking calf muscles which are not good for such delicate looks.

I can do boot heels, but shoes heels nope, well only for very short distances and i normally end up moaning about them so it's not worth the effort really.

I own one pair of footless tights.

I'm not entirely sure what I was thinking when I bought them.

I hopeless with heels. Having spent the last 4 months in flip flops, I'm loathed to start wearing normal work shoes again. I don't think my feet will cope.

footless tights are

WRONG WRONG WRONG. and yes, WHY are all the really nicely patterned ones now FOOTLESS? i can't find any normal tights anywhere! ARGH!

sadface. in other news, i like primark, but i hardly shop there because a) edinburgh is lame and doesnt have one and b) i am a snob, who likes her jeans to cost at least £50. siiigh :( i need to lower my standards...

I think the solution

is to buy them and then wear boots that obscure the fact they're footless, easier now it's winter.

welll

looks like winter out of my window

footless tights are great though

at least if you're a fatty like me because it means when it's warm you can wear short skirts & not worry about exposing your gigantic thighs, because you can wear footless tights so you don't get too hot!

basically i have eczema on my legs and i don't like exposing them, but i don't like wearing tights all the time :(

I have fallen in love with some shoes in New Look

but I think they're too high for me to wear :(

They're cream, have rounded toes, and have a high platform heel which looks like wood. Should I risk walking danger for loveliness? I never wear heels...

oh my god!

the shoes in new look are AMAZING. i was in there yesterday buying a top and a girl came up to the counter with some yellow peep toe heels for £12. £12!!

they were gorgeous but i can't wear heels. i don't like pain, you see. :(

they do THE BEST shoes

lots of nice flat ones too.

yeah

i have issues with heels to :( lame. I get sore feet with ones like an inch high.

the shoes in new look are ACE though. I think i saw those yellow ones accidental. I have wanted yellow peep toes for AGES, and i was soso tempted, but i tried them on and couldn't actually move without wobbling...rubbish.

i want yellow shoes too!

but i just know if i ever wore heels that i would probably fall over straight away and break my ankle. :(

and sophie, you're right they do some lovely flat shoes so yay!

what?! really?!

but you're queen of New Look!

I know. I could have cried.

I wanted the flat shoes in EVERY colour. My normal size was tiny. The next size up was tiny. The next size up was enormous. I might write to them and beg them to sort their sizing out.

red polkadot dress & red polkadot flat shoes

matching and awesome though. and like i said, i cant say anything, i wear one of THE SAME TWO SHIRTS every time you see me.

i actually said to your friend "i do have more than one dress, honest"

fashion faux pas, truly. i can now never wear that outfit again.

also, i feel like death.

death. yes. me too.

urgh.

it's YOUR FAULT. you're a BAD INFLUENCE.

...yeah pretty much

what time did you make it in to work? :D

i woke up at ten past nine

got to work for 9.45.

not too bad, considering...

i've NEVER

seen anyone wear footless tights under peadal pushers. just what would be the point? they're like a dead simalar length. Yeah i agree, Primark is well good. I've only been in primark about twice because there's a new one in coventry and i don't go there that often.

Topshop's really good sometimes too when there's sales on

i did the other day

royal blue footless tights that came about five inches below her denim pedal pushers. VILE.

i never try to make fashion statements

they'd probably all go wrong

Footless tights

are hideous. Everytime I see a girl wearing them under a skirt with ballet flats I just want to punch her.

Primark is awesome though, even though they seem to just guess at sizings. Their £8 animal print peeptoe shoes are brilliant.

I dont like primark because I know I will come about with no money

seriosuly, I could just buy that whole shop! So brilliant!

i read in the evening standard yesterday

that peacocks are the new primark. is this true? i've never been in to one before.

When I was at university

I wouldn't wash socks Id just by new ones from Peacocks, well cheap
