Re: Kasabian?

That single is all I've heard so far, but I'm in lust with it. I wonder what their live show is like...

Re: Kasabian?

Live they really are something, before I saw them live I couldn't shake the feeling they were stuck in the early nineties but then one day in the barfly changed all that. I reckon they will make it big, they seem to be one of the bands threatening to do so.

Re: Kasabian?

I have to agree, live Kasabian are very good, and it was free also \o/

Re: Kasabian?

@ middlesbrough music live?

they are proper class live

Re: Kasabian?

yeah, middlesbrough

Re: Kasabian?

I saw them in the Camden Barfly at 9:30 in the a.m., strange and unforgettable

Re: Kasabian?

NME had me belive they were a "sonic wall of noise" or something, but they actually sound like some shite 1992 madchester-meets-bad rock wankers to me...

Re: Kasabian?

Definatly not a sonic wall of noise, altough they do seem to have some of the loudest drums I've heard live. I thought all the madchester nasty thoughts as well but after seeing live I forgave them.

Re: Kasabian?

I am really loving Kasabian... they sound a bit like Primal Scream to me.

Re: Kasabian?

Is anyone thinking about buying their album though?

Re: Kasabian?

Hmmm, maybe. Wasn't impressed at first (as per Madchester comments above), but single is a grower. Nice to see the lads trying to up their profile by the tried-and-tested means of slagging off The Darkness, too. Hey, it might be obvious, but sometimes obvious is good.

Re: Kasabian?

I've enjoyed their last 2 singles and i'll probably buy the album next month but i can't help feeling that we're all going to be a little bored of Kasabian in 12 months time, with the cd never getting close to the player again

Re: Kasabian?

I'm on the DVD. Because I'm cool. It's a video of a gig they did at their house.

I'm already bored. You see, I first saw them in September, because I'm cool. And because I'm cool, I knew that'd they be massive, so I invested in a few copies of their debut release. And now I'm rich. And cool.

Re: Kasabian?

if you were that cool...you wouldnt have to tell anyone your cool....they'd just know...

Re: Kasabian?

in which case, why do you call yourself 'babe'

Re: Kasabian?

I don't really dig on Kasabian. The frontman is even more obnoxious than me and Liam Gallagher put together.

Re: Kasabian?

dont think he is that bad!
i like the verse of the new song but the chorus is boring ....

Re: Kasabian?

Yeah,

With the amount of airplay they are now getting they will obviously make it quite big. My band opened for them in Coventry a while back and their live sound is awesome !

Re: Kasabian?

They sound like f**king Campag Velocet. Rubbish.

Re: Kasabian?

i cant believe any one can like this bollocks..

Re: Kasabian?

Campag Velocet? rubbish? that doesn't compute...
...and that from someone who likes the fuckin' Fall... tut tut...

Re: Kasabian?

So when are Primal Scream going to sue this lot for copyright theft then?

Re: Kasabian?

Please someone tell me which song the verse of their new single sounds exactly like - it's driving me nuts. It's some really old pop song I'm sure...

Re: Kasabian?

Personally I'm a big fan of the band, I've met them quite a few times and are all decent lads who certainly know how to have a good time.

On another note my mates Trap2 see Dis article
http://www.drownedinsound.com/articles/9848.html are supporting on the upcoming September tour if anyone is going check them out.

Cheers
