Top Of The Poppers, Art Brut, are to hit the UK’s much travelled tracks in support of their as yet untitled debut album, due out on 14th March 2005.

Hey, the lyrics may not be meandering or insightful, but they can be pretty witty.

Not everyone's cup of tea (e.g. not really mine) but they hold no pretensions and have some good rock out moments

i actually really like this
i expected to hate it
but its dumb and funny and clever all at the same time
and it doesnt sound like much else
and i love the way singer just uses his own voice
instead of doing some faux-american shit
they remind me of punk bands
a bit

I have managed to never hear or see them. And now they are coming to Edinburgh. I can't not support bands coming to Edinburgh.

Although it is at the Art College, and whenever I see a band there I get ridiculously drunk and embarrass myself...

its just a bit of fun really -eddie argos seems a decent sort but the guitarist who isnt penfold looks like he should be in McFly - and probably was - sultans of ping fc with longevity anyone?

the first time i heard 'formed a band' i definitely thought 'what does this remind me of - oh yes, it's 'where's me jumper''. the similarity is with that bit in 'where's me jumper' that goes 'and my mum will be so, so angry..' etc., although i couldn't say exactly why.

this incidentally is a GOOD thing. sultans of ping fc being massively underrated genius, frankly. and art brut are great too although again i can't say exactly why. they just are, sometimes you shouldn't question these things - time will provide the proof of it.

Seeing them at the garage - should be a laugh. They're not the best band ever and probably wont last the year but who really gives a fuck? They're fun. As much as I love Sigur Ros/mogwai etc I'd rather jump around to Art Brut than stroke my chin and try to look sophisticated at a gig.
