As promised, yet more sixth birthday celebrations for y'all - a whole tour!
This October, Drowned in Sound celebrates its sixth birthday and, in amongst all the revelry and fun, we're putting on some shows and getting involved with a few others.
When we heard that two of our favourite new bands were going on tour, we had no choice but get involved. And so, this October's DiS-sponsored tour was born.
A rotating headliner featuring the multinational blissful melodic rock of Fields (pictured; right) alongside London's endlessly danceable electo-tinged indie stalwarts GoodBooks (pictured; below-right) will be hitting a town near you at some point in October and we'll be covering it every step of the way. Tour diaries, interviews and podcasts will be bringing the tour to your screens, ears and face.
Joining the headlining pair on tour will be our favourite London troubador, Kid Harpoon.

Bah, this is so Britain-centric!
:D
Nice work.
Very tempted with the Nottingham date.
-
can i arrange a bmouth date
please.
Why only Good Books in Brighton?
:(
Chatham, jesus that will be a fun night.
what do you mean, only?!
when will people see
that goodbooks are the magic numbers
Nowhere in the east...
Ah well.
yes...
no Norwich date but a date in Chatham!!!
Has anyone ever been to Chatham? Good luck with that one....
the norwich crew
are in force! we demand a date in the east.
bahh!
I would quite like to see these bands, but settlefish are playing birmimgham same night.
mmm settlefish
are good, leeeeks.
Is the Brighton date cheaper
because Fields aren't playing?
I'm not going because Fields aren't playing
If they were to go, I'd have been there straight away.
I'll probably go cos Good Books are great
but the fact that Fields aren't there is disappointing.
bbbbut...
...it's a rotating headline tour. They both play every night, the letter in brackets only indicates which band is headlining. It's all good.
that's how I read it
i'll probably be at the bristol one.
Yeah,
that applies to all except Brighton where fields aren't playing. This is the one I will be going to. Oh well.
I will be
at 93ft east for sure.
borderline for me.
