There's nothing on their site to say that they have split. Does anyone know if they played at Leeds?

i

kind of hope they do split, then some of them make a new band.

they're a band i want to like a lot, but just can't. i think the new single 'left' is beautiful, and like a couple of other tracks off the album... but there's something about them stopping me really liking them.

i think it was all that violin nonsense on the 1st album that put me off.

.

I reckon they should go instrumental- the Black Amnesias and AMM=IBM are my fabourite HOTS songs...

Channel 4 Teletext

Page 342 I think it is, states that HOTS are uncertain whether to split up or not. So it's not for definite.

I think that they should go instrumental as well

cause the lead singers voice is shit.

Apparently

they've said they're not going to play live again:

meh

i'm so hoping this isnt so...

has anyone heard anything else at all???

it is

their management informed some press yesterday.

the band will play the festival today, and announce it will be their last ever show before the last song of the set.

and

singer Sam has apparently already got plans with a new band.

hopefully

those plans don't involve singing.

hehehe

Ho hum

always looked very promising; never delivered. Disappointing in every sense.

broken social scene

dedicated their set to them at reading on sunday.
not a fan, but it's a shame to see them split as - at least with their first album - they seemed to have so much ambition.

Reading Festival set

Sam didn't mention anything about the band splitting. Although he did look rather upset- the set was perfect though and his voice actually sounded really good.

eh?

the set? "Perfect"??? Did you not notice the guitar fucking up and the stupidly long pause for Sam to select a new instrument.

As Guntrip said though - Broken Social Scene did make 2 comments advising that HOTS had just performed their last gig.

Shame. I had a (very small) soft spot for them.

They were bad live....

And the new record was bad too.

HOTS set

lol I forgot about the broken guitar and the gaps. Still they played the songs I wanted to hear and not too much from the new album.

They were fucking ace at Reading...

one of the best bands of the weekend, and I saw quite a few

Oh dear..

Opted to go and see Semifinalists instead at Leeds, on the basis that I've seen HOTS a canny few times and would be more likely to be able to see them again in the future. Bit of a shit decision in hind-sight, great band.

One bad DiS review and they're splitting

I'm actually gutted.
