unsure if this is the correct forum to be posting this kind of question but can anyone recomend a site with suggested pedal combinations?
Or if someone could recomend a fairly decent delay / echo pedal that would be fantastic.

Filip!
That site is awesome - I salute you!!
depends on your budget entirely
i always check out the pedals on here
www.pedalgeek.com
and for different set-ups I look here

I really want one ofthe maxon analogue delays, but its 200 quid I can't afford right now..
Cheers
I'm hoping to find out which ones are good and hunt for them on ebay. I only have a Big Muff at the moment so i'm looking to get some new stuff to piss around with. Tried hunting through the second hand shops of P'boro yesterday for bargains but they were all shit.
You want
this baby:
http://namm.harmony-central.com/SNAMM02/Content/Danelectro/PR/Reel-Echo-large.jpg
That does look quite snazzy
i'll try and find a review to see if it's performance matches its looks.
...
Delay = EH Memory Man.
Reverb = EH Holy Grail
I'm a company man.
That said, I jettisoned pedals a long time ago in favour of investing in a Boss ME-50 for my bass. You can get all kinds of ninja tones out of that - check out the guitar version.
I hear good things about EH products
the Big Muff is EH and thats fairly decent.
Here's a link

My band mate has one, I would highly recommend it.
i have that
its one of the most fun things ever
You want the Audible Disease Rupture 2
Check it out here:
http://www.effectpedals.us/
Scroll down to the Rupture 2 and check out the video showing the guy using it!
Read the bumf on it and it sounds mental
but in an amazing way.
Cant watch the vid though cos works server blocks all good stuff like that - will check it out when i get home though.
Basically
you put a separate loop of pedals through the device and then it allows you to affect the sound coming from the loop, building feedback and other effects.
What's very cool about the Rupture 2 is that it includes a photocell so that instead of having to twiddle the knob, you can control the attenuation by how much light is hitting the photocell. Pretty cool.
That does sound pretty cool.
Are they quite expensive? Dont think there are any on ebay so may have to hunt around.
You can probably get them direct
at the shop next to the 12-Bar on Denmark Street.
My mate's ordered the RP-1 as the 2 wasn't in stock and that came okay. There's a shopping link on that site I think. It's only about $70 (the RP-1) I think.
i cant stand any of the electro harmonix pedals
I'm a Digitech X-series man.
They do own
I have an X-Series digital delay.
But there's EH pedal that is fantastic. With two valves and an oscillator in it. Mmmm.
breastfuck
when it comes to effects pedals- the older and crummier looking they are, the better.
I've got a carlsbro flanger the size of two bricks that was a fiver from a bootsale, an italian jen wah wah that I swapped from some guitar magazines at school and a fuzzface that I got new...
Wah in front of fuzz is better in my opinion- you get more of a sweep+the other way round it tends to be a bit muddy.
You could probably get a watkins copicat off the bay for seventy or so quid...they piss on modern delays
