Come on, it'd be a giggle...

One of the red-tops is blabbermouthing that Kylie Minogue will headline the Sunday at 2005's Glastonbury.

A so-called source is quoted as saying: "She's been in discussions for months, but it's only just been agreed. It's a huge thing for both Kylie and her fans that she'll not only be performing at her first Glastonbury Festival but in the headline slot as well."

We'll believe it when we see it... Or when some bigwig tells us for sure.

I agree, I also hate the way that Kylie clearly thinks this sort of appearance validates her as a "serious" musician. She really needs to chill out on the botox/lip implants too......

I was in the audience for the episode of Jim'll Fix it where he fixed it for some kids to dance with Kylie. There was some genuine pant wetting excitement in that studio, I can tell you.

haha yeah, is surprising that she is headling....actually oasis embarrassed themselves last didn't they...liam sounded like he had a broom in his mouth. Can't be assed to spend a week trying to get a ticket anyway, glasto 2003 was sweet.

Question: why shouldn't Kylie be considered a serious musician if someone who stuffs a load of drugs into their system (let's call him 'P' for ease of recognition sake) is generally considered a serious musician? Surely someone who is serious about their art shouldn't be fucking themselves up?

i reckon she'd be great at glasto. come on. she's a pop icon, she's hardly a newbie flash in the pan, she knows her shit, i don't know what she'd be like live but i bet it'd be fun finding out. and she'd have really spangly constumes.

I don't remember this much backlash when Sugababes played a couple of years ago... and there is no way in hell you can suggest any of their albums are as good as Fever. So nurr.

To be honest, anything that takes up space usually reserved for indie drivel is a winner. Eavis appears to favour boring Travis-alikes generally, so something a bit cheerier should be embraced with open arms.
