Current Guns N' Roses bassist Tommy Stinson has made the frankly, not utterly believable claim that the now infamous ‘Chinese Democracy’ LP will be out this year. And a European tour to boot. And that Axl can turn water into nitro-glycerine.
Well, maybe not the last one.
Speaking to the www.wokr13.tv website, He said,
"They're finishing up the mixing right now. Sorting out what songs are going on it and artwork and s**t. And hopefully sooner than later, it'll come out. I understand there's probably some European dates booked in the summer. Hopefully, that'll happen and we'll get over there and do it."
"Once it gets going, it's a lot of fun. There's a lot of f**kin' work involved with getting it going, but once it is going, it's a lot of fun."
Maybe it’s true. Who knows?
*Please note that none of the people in the picture above are still in said band. That was a very long time ago. Axl Rose has been replaced by a mechanoid killer from the future.

What greatly troubles me, is that Tommy Stinson was in one of my fave bands of all times The Replacements and now he's Axl's bitch.

you know, i'd have a lot more respect for Axl Rose if he dropped that ridiculous "Guns N Roses" moniker.
just release the album as 'Chinese Democracy' by Axl Rose, then no-one will expect it to be as good as anything GnR ever did and so you dont have to spend 27 hours a day mixing the bastard thing.

anyway, am i alone in thinking that 'Chinese Democracy' is the new 'SMiLE'? it'll be released to critical acclaim in 20 years time, we'll see cranky old Axl Rose in a BBC documentary, hair thinning but still there, Alan Yentob stroking his beard -his own beard that is, not Axl's. The Royal Albert Hall packed with ageing rockers whove wated years for this rapture...

'Smile' is an album made by a melodic genius who collapsed under the weight of his ambition and narcotic intake.
'Chinese Democracy' is... well, I guess none of us have heard it so it would be unfair for me to draw conclusions. Let's just say that if it does come out, I'd be amazed if we get the opportunity to draw parallels.

the new songs were quite good, they played a few on the tour to the UK in 2002, but the album is a way bit overdue, and i suppose i should join the real world here and say 'YES IT WILL BE RELEASED THIS YEAR............OR NEXT MARCH, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST?'
Just matter of interest I hope AXL has listened to Contraband and realised he is going to have to come out with a hell of a brilliant album....-

If that means Contraband sucks then I agree! At least Axl is trying something different, even if it turns out crap. Or doesn't turn out at all.

The thing is though that Guns N Roses now aren't the Guns N Roses that everyone knew and hated. This is probably going to be a fairly good album. From the amount of time and money that's gone into it, I would be very surprised if it wasn't. But it's not going to be an Appetite For Destruction because time has changed.-

The funniest thing was, after being dropped by Geffen (once they'd realised throwing money at Axl for 11 years solid WASN'T going to produce an album), Sanctuary signed him. Are record labels REALLY that gullible?
Guns 'N' Roses annoy me a hell of a lot anyway...here's hoping for that new My Bloody Valentine rekkid that's never going to appear instead. -
