Really obvious one - Led Zepalin but if you'll allow me I'll go for a second of White Stripes, OK 7 nation army and Hotel Yorba are good but many of their songs are just really crap and no one seems to complain.

I'm gonna say Radiohead. Their music is fine and good but Thom Yorke can't sing fer shite.

Stone Roses, ok maybe. I do quite like their version of I Wanna Be Your Dog, er, Adored.

The Beatles? C'mon, give me fookin' break here. Lots of bands *want* to change to world; this band did!

Led Zep? To quote Billy Corgan: These guys were the real deal.

Oasis? Too easy a target; though clearly in the 90's Oasis v. Blur bullshit there was one clear winner.

Madonna? Wrong. Her first record is chalk full of great disco, let's face it. Who can match her? Kylie? I don't think so.

Of course, this is my humble opinion and not meant to pick on anyone and etc et al disclaimer stuff. :-)

The Michael Jackson screech, nails against the chalkboard, high pitched falsettos don't work for me. Jeff Buckley perhaps the exception here. Sorry about that. I've already slagged Sigor Ros, and next time I think I'll go after Spiritualized. Slowly, but surely, I'll alienate every one here. ;-)

Ehehe, I like Radiohead but I think guy who ran My Iron Duck forums (many eons ago) said it best with this comment on Knives Out: "The video may have had something to do with the lyrics, but I couldn't hear them over Thom's whining."

Oh shit...as for underrated, try Surface Of Eceyon. Although that's probably more to do with the fact that no one's actually heard of them and finding a CD by them is akin to climbing Everest in nothing but a jock strap whilst attached to a bungee cord. But yeah, awesome space rock that's pretty much totally improvised...one for fans of EITS, Godspeed, Tristeza, maybe even Boards Of Canada.

i feel Muse overrated- time is running out overplayed far to much ruined what talent they may have had. His voice is just synpohnised, no talent there yet so many people like it.

Libertines- good, catchy, but not half as good as NM 'we gotta praise the libs so they can spearhead our garagerocknrollrevival thing in order to sell 79 billion magazines a day' E make out

a) new order
b) leatherface

while i appreciate the leatherface option maybe controversial, i still maintain that frankie stubbs sounds like david gedge from the wedding present (whilst straining to stool) which can never be a good thing. obviously.

Idlewild aren't overrated at all. In which country? Certainly not England. They barely make a dent over here even though Woomble's introspective lyrics are better than alot of bands people seem to praise.

Razorlight are nothing like OCS-explain please.
Are BRMC still rated. Alot of this post sounds like bands people don't like rather than those who are receiving high praise and accolades left right and centre.

The White Stripes and Radiohead are valid even though I don't think RH are over rated.
