Re: The Sound Explodes through March and April

Argh...
I can only work with what I'm given!

Hmm, did We Will Be Pilots pull out of the London show, then?

Re: The Sound Explodes through March and April

WWBP had to pull out of that show because of other commitments unfortunately but the super spazzy Birds Of Paradise are going to strut their stuff instead...impossible folly to miss this show.

As for Sound Ex being poser pricks, they're posers for sure, they even know how to throw the occasional mild tantrum but they can bend their strings and wail with the best of them. They have the skills, the moves and the motion....no one outside of Newcastle/NE has ever had a bad word to say about them. Strange that.

Once upon a tme bad behaviour was the corner stone of rock and roll....keith Moon a gentleman mentalist springs to mind.

You want to be the MC5 but you're from Whitley Bay. Bunch of poser-pricks. There are that many good bands round here, I can't believe these got signed. You know they walked out of a Battle of The Bands when they didn't win. It was a full toys out of pram moment.

Re: The Sound Explodes through March and April

The Sound Explosion album is Awesome!!!
... as is the new We Will Be Pilots mini-album... I really want to see WWBP live, but I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to the London show as well as Plymouth!

Just to let you know that support @ The Phoenix in Plymouth on Thursday March 24th comes in the form of The Bedroom Project & Quarantine.

One of the UK's finest punk rock bands, The Bedroom Project played a storming gig at The Phoenix last month to launch their debut album, 'New Promises Won't Change Things If Your Dreams Were Stolen From Films'. I've not heard the album yet, but these guys are quite simply stunning live.

Quarantine are an exhilarating post hardcore punk band from Ivybridge/Plymouth, fresh from a stunning album launch gig of their own. Not heard the album yet, but they're ace live.

Plymouth Gig info is as follows:

Thursday 24th March 2005
@ The Phoenix, Phoenix Street, Plymouth
Doors: 8-11pm
Entry only £3

Re: The Sound Explodes through March and April

Does anyone know anything about Birds Of Paradise?

Not come across them as yet!!!

The Sound Explodes through March and April

No, you're right. I dislike them because they live near me. Its not because I can't hear anything special in their music. Well spotted, geography fascism rules.

Keith, you're entitled to your opinion re The Sound Explosion, but what's with the vitriol? Sounds just a touch personal, and does you no credit. Talk about toys & prams..
You get signed by believing in what you do, no matter what anybody says, working bloody hard at it and having a bit of luck. And that's just the beginning.
Oh yeah, and they have never (that's n..e..v..e..r) been in any Battle of the Bands, anywhere, anytime, anyhow.
OK?
