hi team, just wanted to recommend an american band called The Arcade Fire and their new album Funeral, truly amazing stuff, it's surpassed Franz Ferdinand as the best album of the year easy!

I don't think it's available in UK yet but you can buy it from american site Merge records for 11 dollars, which is like 6-7 squid, not bad.

He's not mad when he says that the Arcade Fire album is very, very good. Morbid, intense stuff. Can't think who the man sounds like though and it's driving me mad.

The opening of Wake Me sounds like something of Flaming Lips Yoshim--the Pink Robot er, what the f is it called? but yeah, good stuff. And the other tracks I heard (Neighborhood2 and Rebellion) more of a My Bloody Valentine sound, mm sweet!

Methinks you guys are right fer a change... ;-) I shall hunt the record down. Oh yeah, thanks for putting up the link (though that one didn't work exactly, but fortunately my curiousity slightly outweighted my natural state of laziness. :-) .)

I like these a lot, their is something about them. The album is also very good :-)
