Super Furry Animals are to return this May with a short tour to preview material from their upcoming seventh studio album.

The as yet-untitled record is due out in August, and the band are set to play a series of gigs in relatively intimate venues to break in the music and fans alike.

There's little more to add, other than these dates:

May

22 Preston - 53 Degrees
23 Oxford - Brookes Uni
24 Coventry - Colisseum
25 Wrexham- Newi
27 Ullapool- Town Hall
28 Dundee- Fat Sams
29 Whitehaven - Civil Hall
30 Newcastle- Evolution Festival

Tickets are £13.50 and available from the corresponding venues, plus www.wegottickets.com, www.seetickets.com, gigsandtours.com and gigsinscotland.com for varying dates.

not for me though, i'll be in cambridge in may. About the only gig that i get which no one else is getting by being there is the dears. Which is ok, but i'd rather see SFA.

For fuck's sake - why play Coventry and not Birmingham? Saw them support Blur at Wembley a long time ago, great live act. Debating whether or not to make the journey...

Dundee is closest, but I dunno how to get there without a car.

Get a train. It takes you straight to Dundee.

The bus takes you via Perth.

Can anyone tell me, apart from going to the venue how i can get tickets for the ullapool gig? or if not the Dundee gig? i've tried Seetickets & ticketmaster etc and had no joy?
