More names added to Download Festival 2005
Posted: 13 Apr '05, 15:33
The Download Festival 2005 has just added a list of new acts to its bill for its 3-day musical jaunt, June 10-12. Among those recently added to the playlist for both the main stage and the Snickers stage include: Finch, Wednesday 13, Queen Adreena, Mad Capsule Markets, and The Mooney Suzuki.
The event already has many big names to adorn its headlining list, including many chances for you to scream your lungs out and/or violently thrash about to the tunes System of a Down, Black Sabbath, Feeder, Velvet Revolver, Slipknot, Slayer, HIM, and rock's punk prince, Billy Idol.
Also a feature of the festival will be the Snickers Unsigned Band competition, which will spotlight one up and coming band. Three groups will be playing the London Barfly on April 21st, and only one will be chosen by the panel of industry judges to join the likes of the following groups (as well as many more):
FRIDAY MAIN STAGE:
Wednesday 13
Queen Adreena
FRIDAY SNICKERS STAGE:
InMe
Apocalyptica
Underoath
Lordi
Fozzy
Flogging Molly
SATURDAY MAIN:

SUNDAY SNICKERS STAGE:

Tickets will be available starting today, April 13, through the official Download Festival website, or through www.getlive.co.uk, www.aloud.com, Ticketmaster and all the other usual ticket outlets.
Also check the official website for a full list of everyone who's playing. Word.

FRIDAY SNICKERS STAGE:
InMe
Dear GOD, they're still going?-
Re: More names added to Download Festival 2005
I don't normally get involved in the whole negative trip - but Inme are one of only about five bands that make that happen. I remember they opened Reading a few years back and I just had to get as far away as possible. I had been sat down, enjoying a pint, and they were ruining it for me.
Apart from that, only Limp Bizkit and Toploader really elicit this sort of reaction from me. And the latter aren't even about any more.-

I was there. A nice, hot, sunny day and then those cunts start up.-
Re: More names added to Download Festival 2005
hahhah. I love how i've only EVER heard of people who hate that band, i bet their fans are to scared to go to their gigs, in fear of abuse as they enter/leave the venue.

Me neither, but the last I heard of them went as follows:
* record second album
* put out first single from second album last march
* record label gets bought my BMG, all bands dropped
* er... that was it
Yeah. So.. wow. Impressed I am.

Re: More names added to Download Festival 2005
InMe are playing Camden Barfly soon.
Aren't they the ones who packed out the Astoria only a year or 2 ago.
Stupid fools. Please break up like everyone wants you to.

I can't believe how bad this festival is, or how out of place Feeder look on there, or how the fuck they are headlining above Weezer, Garbage and The Prodigy, surely they've sold less albums than all of those bands? -
