Chart raider, space invader: Star Wars to challenge for chart honours

In a chart far far away...The theme tune from Star Wars is to be released as a single. The release will coincide with the opening of Revenge Of The Sith. Well d'uh.
'Battle Of The Heroes' will be available to buy, y'kno, in shops and stuff, on May 23rd. One supposes that one could also download it, what with these new-fangled chart rules.
The tune is composed by five-time Oscar winner John Williams. Revenge Of The Sith arrives in cinemas on May 19th. Scary Anakin pictured, right.

Hopefully it'll be two hours of Darth Vader trying on outfits and asking his admirals how menacing he looks.

I have Star Wars Day in my calendar on my phone. First two shitty films in the morning, then off to the cinema for Ep III, then back for Eps IV, V VI. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!! I know I'm a geek to be so excited about this, but who cares?
By the way, releasing the Star Wars theme is quite cringeworthy. Next they'll be saying the proceeds go to charity or something. Urgh.

i got it too. i got quite excited for a second. Their album was actually quite a good pop-speedfreak-harajuku girls-visiting-Reading-in-the-summer album actually.

Kris Dweeb was/is a legend - he's been a part of some mighty fine bands, like Pseudo Hippies and Wact. The Dweeb album (if you can find it) is not bad at all - and Kris' sister was mighty fine!

What a missed opportunity. The Imperial Death March is a a far superior piece of music, and more fitting for the content of the new film.

It's not THE Star Wars theme tune that's getting released, just the ace music for the Obi Wan/Anakin fight. And yes, I too am a total geek. But a cool one. In my eyes...

They should release a digitally remastered dvd boxset of the Monkey tv show with a download theme/single in the shops tie-in - that would so go to no.1 in the charts

will the star wars box set with all six film in be called the 'star wars set', 'star wars sixology' or ' the star wars hex'

don't forget, we still have three more films to be made after this one. parts 7-9 are all ready for lucas to film when he gets even more lazy than he is now.
this film is ace, blatantly. anyone who has seen the trailer for it should be pissing themselves at how good it will be.

To be honest, that trailer is far better than the two films that preceded it. In twenty odd seconds, it revitalised the inner SF nerd in me. Which can only be a bad thing.

Jesus. We fall for this every single time. The trailer for phantom menace was rocking as well, but it was still pony. Yeah we're all gonna see it, but thinking "he's gonna get it right this time" is as embarrassing as all the Oasis fans thinking that this time the new lp is gonna be great. We have to see it we've waited almost thirty years to see the middle of a story. Lets face it- The Matrix was what we got instead of good star wars films. you win some, you lose some.
