Bloc Party announce Somerset House show

Bloc Party have announced that they will be playing at Somerset House, London WC2 on Tuesday 12th July 2005.

As report in a previous news story, the gig will be one of eight consecutive dates at the elegant venue from the 5th to the 12th of July. The Bloc Party show will be the closing event of the run.

All tickets for all the events are now on pre-sale from Ticketmaster.

Like, go and find them. We suggest by checking on the websites for those bands rumoured to be playing.

A naughty scamp on our messageboards reckoned it was these people:

2 x tickets for Bloc Party came to £46.00 inc booking fees and postage.

I found all the presales just by changing the band name in the URL from sigur-ros.co.uk, they weren't exactly very well hidden. As of last night only Doves, Bloc Party and Sigur Ros actually had working ones though, prices 25.00/20.00/22.50 respectively.

all of them work, just make sure you use the full band name, ie the mars volta, queens of the stone age, bright eyes, and include a _ after every word

Have you tried actually buying tickets on them though? On the ones without the prices listed, once you click through and select a number of tickets it doesn't get to the next page.

no, it makes you think it worked - so you type in a few details and then on the next page it tells you the tickets aren't on sale yet.

the 'naughty scamp' got his info from the Fake DIY news page which confirmed the bands last week, although i can't find it again now. oops.

they seem to be fairly accurate from the rumours/pre-sales for each band though.

Just got a pair of MV tickets. Hope it doesn't rain. Could be one of my all time great gigs..MV on a summer night, not too far from the stage!

PS: use the URL from the link above, but as mentioned before, replace the Bloc Party name with the band you want, remembering the underscore between words. No other search seems to get a result.
