I've re-ignited by love affair with this band. They're absolutely my favourite band, possibly ever.
I love them so much.
Anyone listen to Release on their myspace page and tell me it's not good. I dare you.

they're quite good
never heard of them!
just had a listen, not bad but just not my cup of tea. they english? very american sound i thought
They've had LOADS of albums
started out as a total doom metal band, ended up being Pink-Flloyd-esk band.
So very talented and varied and clever and good.
I like them you see.
truth
GOTH!
i have 'a fine day to exit'. it's ok, but wears it's OK Computer influence not so much on it's sleeve but all over it's face.
...
when my mate saw them in norwich they stopped in the middle of their set, brought on a load of tiny kids instruments and proceeded to play as if nothing had changed. odd lads
Evolved in the wrong direction
Anathema and My Dying Bride used to be my favorite Goth/Doom metal bands, but both bands evolved into something else and lost somethings I'd really like on the way.
I used to be in a band
that was heavily (no pun intended) influenced by Serenades - era Anathema and My Dying Bride. Pentecost 3 was great, but then I bought the Alternative Future EP and it was a bit rubbish. I'm sure I'd like the new stuff if I gave it the time...
yeah, Anathema are ace
The last 4 albums are all equally amazing. There was a couple of really good new tracks on www.anathemaniacs.net a while back, not sure if they're still there though.
Just checked.
Both songs are still there. One is in mp3 and the other is a zip (opens to an mp3)
Bloody hell
that takes me back.......gigged with them on the toilet circuit a long time ago...good days
