Ridiculously cool-looking Kentucky pop-ists, VHS or Beta are playing a slew of dates in some of your cities. Well, three of them. And they're soon. They are:

May

11th Manchester, Bierkeller
12th Glasgow, King Tuts
18th London, Death Disco @ Notting Hill Arts Club
20th London, Liars Club @ Barfly, London
21st London, Frog @ Mean Fiddler

That's largely the sum of that news story, except to say that the band's debut album is re-released this week, hot on the heels of their second one, which came out last month and is quite good. Check out the review. There's probably a link to it on the right-hand side of this page.

I listened to the album. Musically, I quite liked it, but the vocals did my head in, as did the sampled hand-claps on one track and the one in the middle that sounded like an awful Daft Punk track.

They're playing Cambridge on May 17th at The Portland Arms. Tickets are five quid and you can buy them from www.wegottickets.com
