Charlottefield - www.myspace.com/charlottefield - probably the best small band in Britain. Like Tweez era Slint meets ... a huge noise. Awesome

Blood Red Shoes - www.myspace.com/bloodredshoes - sure they need no introduction

Projections - www.myspace.com/projectionsmyspace - Steve Ansell's other band - nothing like Fugazi, at all, no

The Maccabees - www.myspace.com/themaccabees - about to break the big time. Bit like a modern and more poppy Gang of Four

Jacobs Stories - www.myspace.com/jacobsstoriesband - one man, a piano, a beat, and sometimes a viola. Spellbinding

The Mojo Fins - www.myspace.com/themojofins - Acoustic pop songs, really wonderful melodies

Yuchi - www.myspace.com/yuchiyuchi - everyone describes them as college rock which isn't true. More like dropped-out-of-college rock

Ack Ack Ack - ummm.com - they dont have a website but they are awesome. Ash from Charlottefield, Jon from Projections / Yuchi, and Mike from... I don't know where Mike is from. But he wears a gas mask. Bit like Shellac maybe

...and then there's my band 4 or 5 Magicians, but you already know us.

There's loads more too. Just go to a few gigs around town!
