Riff Random - not on DiS

Just incase anyone had heard otherwise, Drowned in Sound has not signed Riff Random. They're on tour with Bloc Party at the moment and are a really interesting, ballsy new band, but we're not releasing their ep.

saw riff random in pompey supporting bloc party. what an absolute pile of shit. well done for not signing them.

sign the other support band instead; the mystery jets, they were ace...

Mystery Jets are doing their single on the label wot used to be called Trash Aesthetics (who brought you Bloc Party and The Rakes).
So that's nice.

Riff Random are one of my favourite bands! Only seen them a handful of times, but goddd, I wish I was seeing them with Bloc Party!

they are fuckers. I know that as a fact, the have no respect for tour supports equipment...they trashed Boxer Rebellions support's stuff, and messed around with there amps...wankers.

if by trash you mean when the drummer left the stage he stumbled over some of the mics, knocking them over, and if by "messed around with there amps" you mean, um, they plugged their guitars in and set them up to sound how they wanted then, um, yeah, obviously theyre "fuckers".

after the "trash"ing incident, the boxer rebellion banned them from playing the london date of their tour, but invited them to continue on the rest. how this portrays anyone other than tbr as wankers i don't know. why would you ban someone from one date only?

anyway, this is what they told me. and they are, for a fact, really nice guys.

This might be a bit late, but I'll just say anyway, that one of the guys from riff random says he has been abducted by aliens, and apparantly has the markings to prove, he seemed pretty honest about it. ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bizarre
