We are very pleased to announce that our only UK show this year will be on Wednesday June the 8th on the opening night of the new Glasgow venue The ABC in Sauchiehall Street. As the name suggests the venue is in the building which previously occupied the ABC Cinema. Having seen the venue we are immensely excited about being the first band to play in it.

similar to your comments, then?

Re: Mogwai announce only UK gig of the year

Oooo, how cutting, I sense a war, and to Tobykiller, I've never actually seen Mogwai live so that's why it dissapoints me.

Re: Mogwai announce only UK gig of the year

Sheesh, will you fuck off, i swear, they are the same everytime ive seen them, i think there records, except there most recent; are really good.

Re: Mogwai announce only UK gig of the year

HA surely you dont mean the most recent being Government Commissions ie all their best songs live??

Re: Mogwai announce only UK gig of the year

HA, yeah that slipped my mind...basically i meant happy songs for happy people, goverment commisions is more of a greatest hits, but in a hip indie way no doubt.

Re: Mogwai announce only UK gig of the year

Hello.

I think Mogwai have been awesome each time I've seen them live (to varying degrees of awesome-ness admittedly)... so if they're the same everytime I'm more than happy with that.

What do you want Toby - Stuart to come on wearing spandex? Can you tell me a band who does something different each time you see them - seriously, this isn't a sarcastic statement or a challenge, I'm genuinely interested.

Re: Mogwai announce only UK gig of the year

Ok, sure, well i guess , when i see a band a bit of diversity wouldnt kill, ie maybe talk to the audience, the quite/loud vibe they have goin on is great, but althogh last time i saw them (the third time) they did use a vocoder thats about as different mogwai have been, dont get me wrong when i saw them play with the cure they were great, but erm stuart to come on wearing spandex? you must be being sarcastic. It just seems everytime they play its the same formula.
