Dutch beer monkeys Grolsch (it's never rushed, y'know, and Death drinks it... or something) have announced the line up for their Summer Set, held at London's Somerset House.

Tickets go on general sale tomorrow but you can get them from the boozy boys' website now, which is here. No doubt you've got to sign up for a few years' worth of spam, though.

Grolsch is marginally better than Bloc Party

Much much better than Arctic Monkeys (DIS get off the bandwagon, it smells of pee)

But not as good as vegetables that resemble popular historical and biblical figures.

Lager *is* a beer. The word lager refers to how it's brewed. The full name for it is lager beer.

Supergrass = fairly shite indie
Idlewild = pretty good indie, if a bit boring these days
Prodigy = what the hell are they doing there?

I drink it when there's no alternative, i.e. at Carling-sponsored venues.

Join the club. At Carling venues it's Grolsch or nowt. Which means I've had enough of it that I don't mind it too much. In fact I rather like it.

Why can't Budweiser just take over everything?

Some of you are being a little uncharitable, incidentally. Supergrass in particular are still ace.

Agreed, Supergrass are still very good. Any idea when their new album is coming out this year? Athlete - pah!

i don't mind admitting to being partial to the odd pint - up there with carlsberg export, being just being san miguel as my lager of choice

Grolsch is the best! It's got a weird taste but I love it, even though it costs a fortune. Also, I've heard it's the only mainstream lager that doesn't have any strange animal products in to help the brewing along.

Hmm..Supergrass and Idlewild...Idlewild were kinda "OK" at Shepherd's Bush. I'd prefer seeing the 'grass in a small venue though. I still like Supergrass, personally...

I don't get why people beat up on supergrass, really good band. Starsailor and Athlete though are the most boring shite imaginable. The class of band that makes Coldplay seem exciting!

I wouldn't go to any of those gigs really. I mean I like Idlewild and the Prodigy, but well... I'm probably on holiday anyway that time.
