Morrissey is a "sad sight" according to The Dears' Patrick Krief.
The Canadian outfit recently supported the former Smiths singer, and guitarist Krief was disappointed with the behaviour of the Machester-spawned artist.
He told Obscure Sound (no, us neither, but click here for a link):
“Opening for Morrissey was a sad sight, man. Seeing what success can do to people is pretty painful. Being asked to leave the building when he’s crossing the corridor, or being told to not look directly at him made me sick.
“Sometimes it’s better to not meet people you admire. The whole band was pretty upset by the whole encounter. Luckily for me, I’m not a fan. I can’t deal with Morrissey. I never liked his music.”
The Dears' new single, 'Whites Only Party', is out now on Bella Union.

oh right. I think I'd feel the same about Moz but its sadly obvious to anyone, even 'in' the industry what he's like. Its rather sad that this is the case - the word 'fake' seems to spring to my mind more and more as I get older, but my younger seriously besotted self clouds such judgement.

...been of the impression that, although I'm a fan (albeit not an obsessive, he-can-do-no-wrong sort) if I ever met Morrissey I'd think he was a colossal prick. But then he'd probably think the same about me, and chances are he'd be wearing a nicer jacket.

I'm sure Krief is exaggerating (to say the least). Those with little talent often envy those who are successful. Luckily, Patrick will never know the affects of success. The Dears are a "sad sight" indeed.
