the new fellas isn't their debut. hmm i'm not sure which of the two i prefer.

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

no one said it was!

Re: The Cribs: new single, summer tour

Actually, it DID say it was.
But now it doesn't.
Foolish news person forgot about the band's first record, even though it sits upon his shelf at home.
Foolish news person is sorry...

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

lol, i love how NME are totally behind the cribs. they ever stuck them on two new music tours, and now rock 'n' roll riot - i think they try too hard sometimes...

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

I love the cribs. Both lps are fun, summer rock. Both are great, the 2nd is slightly better only cus the production is great, and it has some killer singles on there.

Good lads, cu in Brum!

Good pals of Kaiser Chiefs. And it was exceptionally nice of the KCs to donate all the mediocre cast-offs from their own album to this mob. Very average band, very average album, wish I'd kept my money in my pocket

Re: The Cribs: new single, summer tour

Although the majority of NME-rated bands are traditionally wankers The Cribs actaully provide excellent guitar pop singalong anthems. They piss on anything The Kaiser Chiefs, Killers and alike. The New Fellas is outstanding.

Re: The Cribs: new single, summer tour

The New Fellas is good, but I don't think its better than Hot Fuss. They've yet to do a tune that can beat Mr Brightside.

Re: The Cribs: new single, summer tour

yaaaaaaaaaaay the cribs.

Re: The Cribs: new single, summer tour

The Cribs these days are a fecking GREAT live band.
I'll be seeing them again. Seem like really nice guys as well.

Re: The Cribs: new single, summer tour

As far as I can tell they are a band famous for the scene they're in rather than actually being any good. I'll have a listen when my NME obsessed mate buiys the album, but I'm not expecting much.

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

I'm being dragged to Kaiser/Cribs/Maximo tour by the brenda.
Either take pity, or comfort me by saying 'oh, well they'll be....errr....fun....at least'

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

Common misconception: The NME have only started to hype The Cribs just prior to their second album coming out - and that's purely because Ricky Wilson etc have started singing their praises.

Don't let NME writers put you off The Cribs as they somehow manage to do by hyping other bands. Their first album came out early 2004 and is arguably better than The New Fellas. I say "arguably", I mean "definately"

And they have done at least one tune that pisses all over Mr Brightside, namely Another Number off the first album.

Three cheers for The Cribs!

Their first album is great - I wish anyone that can rip off Beat Happening and get the NME to fund them the best of luck!

I'll probably check them out in Brighton.

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

I love their new album and I'm quite disappointed in myself for not seeing them live yet... but theres no way I'm going to that Gay Riot Tour.

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

a young chevy chase there in the photo.

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

can't wait to see these guys at reading! i love both albums especially the new fellas, a perfect summer soundtrack methinks.

The Cribs: new single, summer tour

The NME have backed the Cribs since their debut album, but it didn't seem to have any promotion at all.

Really decent band.
