A telling title perhaps for the Corby metallers third album? The departure of singer and founding member Frank Regan has not appeared to faze Raging Speedhorn , returning with another gritty and gruelling collection of noisy riffs and strung out sludgy grinds.

While it's a heavy metal album that will appeal greatly to the stoner rockers out there also, this is possibly the poorest of the three recordings. Far too often this record sounds like an unorganised jamming session where they merely try to build upon an ill thought-out frenzy. The opening, classically titled but far from classically orchestrated, ‘A Different Shade Of Shit’ sets the tone for the rest of the album. This soon gives way to the feeling that there is a failure here to fully get into the scrumptious stoner groove they are capable of, sadly displayed in high-potential tracks like the epic closer, ‘Don’t Let The Bastards Grind You Down’.

While their first two records showcased a fierce intensity rarely found outside Britain, Raging Speedhorn’s first international release will do little to prove that.
