Garbage's best-of compilation, Absolute Garbage, is to be released on March 19.
The four-piece - 12 million album sales and counting - are using the release as a stop-gap before releasing an album of all-new material sometime in later 2007. Apparently. The tracklisting for the best-of reads as follows...

is one of my favourite albums ever. I don't think it sounds dated!
I still think
"Milk", "You Look so Fine" and "Special" are great songs. Others might sound dated - I've not listened for a while.

I loved Garbage when I was 10 or 11. I mean LOVED.
I still love the first album, it's brilliant- especially Vow and Milk. Version 2.0 is okay, the rest is pretty much shit.
I just remembered
that Garbage are totally shit. Except 'As Heaven Is Wide'. And even that sounds like an half-arsed Jesus Jones b-side.
Garbage are vital to the balance of the Universe though, being the yin to Butch Vig's good production yang.
