Don't Fall Out, Boys - Killers dig their detractors

Fall Out Boy have reportedly been ripping into Las Vegas-bred synthtarts The Killers on their website. The response from the all-conquering Flowers and co.? "It's catchy." The beef bubbled to the surface here (go to the Journal section), but hasn't bothered The Killers one bit. Drummer Ronnie Vannucci spoke to MTV:
"I hadn't even heard about this thing with Fall Out Boy until a few days ago, and I still don't get it. We got nothing against those guys at all. And I kind of like that song they've got ['Sugar, We're Goin Down']. It's catchy."
The Killers are expected to work with Flood and Alan Moulder on the follow up to Hot Fuss.

I quite like Fall Out Boy, but the argument is iridculous. The Killers barely said anything about them, just some comment about them sharing a PR guy, then FOB take it really badly a post some rambling, 'how many times can I say fuck in one sentence' dig at The Killers on their website.

Whilst I certainly wish that I never hear a Killers song ever again I never understand how a band can be criticised for being overplayed.

I liked the Killers album. Brusma's right, they get everything else wrong, but some of the tunes are good.-

The indie commitee once again voices their ever so important opinion. Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy are good, but heaven forbid liking something other than "indie". Nope, instead let's champion a band no one's heard of. Then we're cool.
Anyway this is old, true "indie" fans never like a band as big as The Killers, they're far too known to like them anymore.-

I'm very much on the punk side of things as well as indie and I still think Fall Out Boy are shit. They sound like some rip off all those STILL rather shit late 90s, 00 bands...... and are even worse than them

The Killers had some nice, cheap throwaway singles but really...it all seems so terribly Summer05 Best Of The Fest CD already. They practically Etch-A-Sketched their 'farewell' at Reading. Whither Menswear? -

The Killers are pretty damn good, certainly better tha the stagnant rentboys known as Kaiser Chiefs, plus the Killers are awesome live.

Actually I think Panic! At The Disco, are more fun to listen to/see live than Fall Out Boy, and The Killers. Funny that two punk bands are on DiS anyway, what the fuck does anyone care about anything other than indie? The response of dull people saying "Oh I heard FOB are they're rubbish", show that it's fucking closed minded people post regulary on here.-

have you listened to fob? or patd!? they are utter shite. perfectly preened plastic boy band ripe for tween girls and boys consumption. They are not even punk. Try listening to some Elle Milano, Alexisonfire, Rise Against, or even the one of the most harshly criticized - Test Icicles. We're not close minded against punk, we're close minded against shite music, that's what.
