cay

sona fariq

amazingly llama farmers released two full lengths!

I used

to look scarily like the guy from New Radicals, in that video they did in the mall. I even dance like he danced. It was freaky to watch, like some moving mirror thing.

clor

.

My Vitriol

prove me wrong Som, prove me wrong...

Another stopgap:

They're releasing a Live EP of 4 OLD SONGS. I think they're lying about having a new album, hoping that we'll all just forget. :-( Finelines is great too...

clor

Seconded. *winces* it still hurts.

The La's.

the bunston burners

oh no, that was just the band i wanted to be in when i was 9.

I think

Colour of Fire only had one album.

:(

didnt even know

they had split. bloody great set at reading back in 2003/4?

.

Wives.

.

The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg.

^^^^

That

Fullerov

Test Icicles
Desaparecidos
My Favourite Co-Pilot
Stories and Comets
The Germs
The Exploding Hearts

yeah

Three years ago!

I want proof...

There've been rumours of a second album for a long time.

I'm sure I would've heard about a proper split.

I don't think they officially split

saddle creek sent an email early 2004 and definately not three years ago saying they would release something that year and play the plea for peace tour, that tour got cancelled because denver wanted to concentrate on statistics, early 2005 denver said the desaparecidos was recorded except for conors bits around this time conor said in interviews there would atleast be another EP at somepoint, havent heard anything since, I guess conor thought the others would work around his schedule but was wrong. I still have hope. Their 2nd record was gonna be called payola.

I second The Murder Of

They basically left us behind eight tracks, and they're all insane in their own unique, dancey way.
Once again, you are right, Mr TheShapeOf.

what about

the single before the album and the EP after?

.

Yeah there was an ep like.

Its fairly good if not very different from their other work.

Rival School

Erm...but do they count?

*Schools

:(

yes

Though new album

may happen....

new

album was recorded but never released. some are releasing it in 2007 or so Walkt says.

cool!

*crosses fingers

RS

RIVAL SCHOOLS GETS MY VOTE ALL THE WAY!

yes

i always say it and i'll say it again - so good live!

no

they did 2 !

The Libertines

Their s/t doesn't count. Because it's shit. And The Unicorns.

They did

two though...

So clearly cannot count

The Unicorns?

They only released 500 copies or something of Unicorns Are People Too though, and half of the tracks are on Who Will Cut Our Hair as well.

No...

Both

they're tracks with the same

name. rather than exactly the same tracks.

unicorns are people too is much better. maybe. download it anyways!

Using that Libertines argument

I call Oasis.

.

Crashland

lyle

re: pm, can you stick the sixty second love affaird single on it?!? please!

oops

who did sixty second then? subcircus?

indeed !

Naturally I have that too...

Standard Love Affair

is a great pop song.

i was in a pub the other week and crashland came on the jukebox

i was quite impressed

the guy out of crashland has a new band...

http://www.myspace.com/troupmusic

I know

really waiting for the album...

O

W
L S

american football?

cap'n jazz

jarcrew

(be quiet, pedants)

That

was excellent.

..

Young Marble Giants - Colossal Youth
X-Ray Spex - Germ-Free Adolescents

The

Postal Service

there's a new one

on the way, apparently.

oooooo

exciting

!

Jarcrew changed my life...though technically. two.

Wives definetly.

Animation...though they had an EP too...

Clor!

*sob*

Lifeguards

Owls (I think)

Quitter

Young Heart Attack

Clor
Test Icicles
Death From Above

I've been getting into the Dogs Die In Hot Cars album in the past week, give it another couple of days and they might be on the list too.

Ddihc

working on new album, scratch them off the list (hopefully)

Murder of...

Rosa Luxemburg

Little Hell - DAC

And what a good album it was.

handsome

thirty called arson
4 gentleman of the guitar

oohhhhh yes !

Little Hell !
The Carrie album was quite good too !

i thought i was the only one who ever bought

the little hell album.

apparently

there's 3 of us...

JARCREW - one brilliant album, then death

but hopefully some of the spirit of Jarcrew will remain alive in Future of the Left.

I'll go one bettter than bands who only made one album. I absolutley love the 4 songs i have by KILL KILL DISCONNECT - as far as I can make out, they only realised one single before splitting up. I was all set to become obsessive about them and make them my new favourite band until then.

Rival Schools - United By Fate

Awesome stuff

cap'n jazz

desparecidos
umlaut only ever released a single, but they were great, and i love all their songs to bits.

terris

anyone remember these? had a wicked EP then stopped.

yep, i saw them once

and thought they were quite good - in fact I remember saying to my friend that I thought they'd be bigger than Coldplay (who supported them that night). Shows what I know!

My friend got the album too, and it seemed quite good.

btw

the future of the left stuff is real good, my firend is engineering their sessions at the mo, propper tight

I Liked

Bullet Union
Faraquet
Desparecidos
Spy Versus Spy
The Jesus Years
The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg

are the ones I can think of right now....

...

Texas Is The Reason

also

New End Original
Gratitude
The Junket*

(* pedantry welcome. However, 'Stamina' wasn't a full length LP so I think they still count.)

The Jesus Years - Knob on!

The best EP I own.

does jeff buckley count as being a "band"

and "broke up" ?

22-20s

The Rain Band
The Vessels

i second

the vessels, quality

aaaaahhhhhh

the Rain Band !
Don't forget Medium 21 then !

he would

if sketches wasn't a really really good second album

RITES OF SPRING

Lift To Experience

If they have split, I dunno.

Colour of Fire

Rival Schools

Too bloody many

Sunna
Radiator
The Workhorse Movement
b.l.o.w.
Lodestar
Blameless
Imperial Drag

Ahh

Sunna.

They were ace!!

Not over

1. 3 ninety minute tapes of demos for the next two albums
2. band members talking
3. Pearson has and continues to speak of Lift in the present

Mo*ho*bish*o*pi!!

and Lift to Experience

Terris and Mo*Ho*Bish*O*Pi

Ahh, 2001, I still really like both albums

Kooks

Please let it be true.

so, you are saying you like the album then?

ah ha hah ahahahha

Operation Ivy

Jarcrew + Colour Of Fire - YES

also The Blueprint, anyone remember them? They did that whole singy-screamy thing so so well.

Scarce..

i.e. the guy that used to be in Anastasia Screamed who got dumped by tanya donelly, his band made one album that was nearly all brilliant, and highly recommended
Handsome, what pete mengade did after being kicked out of helmet, even if the singer was gash the music was still rifftastic
Verbena (alright, they did two but only one with the good line-up), souls for sale should have been massive, <sniff> ditto the drop nineteens...?

Oh was going to say radial spangle but I found their second one the other day and it's even better than the first! Just thought I'd mention it y'know...

Glamourising cigarettes

means so much to me, and has done for years, to the point that I am too scared to ever hunt down the album in case it doesn't live up to that song. I take it I should?

Pellumair

I miss them...

:(

Jacrew and Rival Schools in particular.

oasis, kasabian, keane....

they all did 1 album, just kept re-releasing it under different names.....arf, arf....
