to look scarily like the guy from New Radicals, in that video they did in the mall. I even dance like he danced. It was freaky to watch, like some moving mirror thing.
They're releasing a Live EP of 4 OLD SONGS. I think they're lying about having a new album, hoping that we'll all just forget. :-( Finelines is great too...
saddle creek sent an email early 2004 and definately not three years ago saying they would release something that year and play the plea for peace tour, that tour got cancelled because denver wanted to concentrate on statistics, early 2005 denver said the desaparecidos was recorded except for conors bits around this time conor said in interviews there would atleast be another EP at somepoint, havent heard anything since, I guess conor thought the others would work around his schedule but was wrong. I still have hope. Their 2nd record was gonna be called payola.
but hopefully some of the spirit of Jarcrew will remain alive in Future of the Left.
I'll go one bettter than bands who only made one album. I absolutley love the 4 songs i have by KILL KILL DISCONNECT - as far as I can make out, they only realised one single before splitting up. I was all set to become obsessive about them and make them my new favourite band until then.
and thought they were quite good - in fact I remember saying to my friend that I thought they'd be bigger than Coldplay (who supported them that night). Shows what I know!
My friend got the album too, and it seemed quite good.
i.e. the guy that used to be in Anastasia Screamed who got dumped by tanya donelly, his band made one album that was nearly all brilliant, and highly recommended
Handsome, what pete mengade did after being kicked out of helmet, even if the singer was gash the music was still rifftastic
Verbena (alright, they did two but only one with the good line-up), souls for sale should have been massive, <sniff> ditto the drop nineteens...?
Oh was going to say radial spangle but I found their second one the other day and it's even better than the first! Just thought I'd mention it y'know...
means so much to me, and has done for years, to the point that I am too scared to ever hunt down the album in case it doesn't live up to that song. I take it I should?
Aw I used to love that album.
cay
sona fariq

I used
to look scarily like the guy from New Radicals, in that video they did in the mall. I even dance like he danced. It was freaky to watch, like some moving mirror thing.

Another stopgap:
They're releasing a Live EP of 4 OLD SONGS. I think they're lying about having a new album, hoping that we'll all just forget. :-( Finelines is great too...

There've been rumours of a second album for a long time.
I'm sure I would've heard about a proper split.
here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desaparecidos_%28band%29
I don't think they officially split
saddle creek sent an email early 2004 and definately not three years ago saying they would release something that year and play the plea for peace tour, that tour got cancelled because denver wanted to concentrate on statistics, early 2005 denver said the desaparecidos was recorded except for conors bits around this time conor said in interviews there would atleast be another EP at somepoint, havent heard anything since, I guess conor thought the others would work around his schedule but was wrong. I second The Murder Of
They basically left us behind eight tracks, and they're all insane in their own unique, dancey way.
Once again, you are right, Mr TheShapeOf.
what about
the single before the album and the EP after?
.
Yeah there was an ep like.
Its fairly good if not very different from their other work.

The Libertines
Their s/t doesn't count. Because it's shit. And The Unicorns.
They did
two though...
So clearly cannot count
The Unicorns?
They only released 500 copies or something of Unicorns Are People Too though, and half of the tracks are on Who Will Cut Our Hair as well.
No...
Both
they're tracks with the same
name. rather than exactly the same tracks.
unicorns are people too is much better. maybe. download it anyways!
Using that Libertines argument
I call Oasis.

I'll go one bettter than bands who only made one album. I absolutley love the 4 songs i have by KILL KILL DISCONNECT - as far as I can make out, they only realised one single before splitting up. I was all set to become obsessive about them and make them my new favourite band until then.
