The Glow part 2

If every album sounded this lush, there would never be war.

  • what about

if people preferred 'It was Hot...'. I'd declare war

  • ooh

I had that on yesterday. It's a corker.

    • yeah

i think i prefer it was hot. Between Your Ear And The Other Ear - what a tune.

  • *abandon reply*

  • Oh really?

Then why was it not good enough to make a list of the top 66 albums of the last six years that did feature Slipknot?

    • this has been my soundtrack

to FM2007 for the past few days. i'm winning - make of that what you will.

    • because

there's more people that work on DiS other than me. which is a good thing.

  • there would be horrible poverty and death though

as no one would ever do any work of any kind, leading to a distopia of disorder and hunger.

    damn you, elverum!

  • Welcome to 2001.

    • ^

message board equivelent of saying "I was into them before you" in the playground

      • And whats wrong with that?

        • it is the thing that anoys me most on message boards

it is a completely pointless thing to say, some one said welcome to 2004 in a thread about wolf parade the other day, neither of these threads have been "check out these new bands" they have just been threads in appreciation of them, "welcome to..." comments always just make me think the poster is trying to display superiority by saying they were into them first whilst really it just show they are concerned with indie fashion. If it was ood in 2001 it's good in 2006.

      • considering i bought the album on import in 2001

        it's particularly humorous.

        LET'S OUT-INDIE EACH OTHER!!

        • for the record

it came out here in 2002 as well. Marine is the coolest. i have a hard on.

          • Phil actually gave me a copy when i went ot see his in Boston. 2001.

        • I don't give a shit when you bought it.

          • i never bought it ever

            so fuck you both

            • i love you jamie

              • *in fonz voice*

                eeeeeeeh!

                *hits jukebox*

*fox in the snow comes on and the facade is shattered as everyone walks off*

              • What a bunch of fags.

"OMGH I NEVER BOUGHT IT! OMGH I LOVE YOU".

                Get out of here.

                • nah it's okay

you can go. or stay? whatever. you're making us money every time you load a page. it's fine by me.

                  god bless the internet.

  • um

    no flashlight is much better

    • Ha

At being boring. He lost the plot after the Microphones "broke up."

      • I like all the really short mt eerie songs he plays live

but most of no flashlight is boring, the singers lp and 7 new songs are both great though

        • It's not boring.

People always say the music is really repetitive & simple but that's part of the whole concept. If buy the record and read the huge fold out artwork it comes with it makes you see the album in a totally different light.

Singers, Seven New Songs, Two New Songs & Live in Copenhagen are all amazing too, he's hardly lost the plot.

  • i've never bought a copy

i didn't know the microphones existed until about 6 months ago
i'd never heard this album till about 2 months ago

it's absolutely gorgeous, and possibly one of my favourite albums EVER. fo sho.
