...

I dunno. I couldn't be bothered to book in advance last week and I can't be bothered to see if I can blag on the door tomorrow.

This is how lazy I am.

trencher

are supporting.
theyre well good.

dunno if that sways it any for ya

oh and ILL BE THERE! what more could one want??
/sarc

I'm going

and i think i have a spare ticket

I want to go

but I have made other plans now.

*sigh*

I've seen them already though, so I guess it's not too bad then.

were they

any good when you saw them?

I thought they were

fantastic. Really awesome performance. I probably would have paid just to hear Drinking From The Necks Of The Ones You Love, it was utterly stunning.

Plus there was stuff with him standing on a chair or a ladder or something, I can't really remember what it was. And I can't really remember why he did it either :-s

It also helped

that Bullet Union supported.

But TAAS are definitely more than worth the money you'll pay to go see them.

Bullet Union played?

You'd better tell them, they split up!

I know they split

This show was about a year ago. Obviously before they split up.

AAAAAH.

Once again, abandon tired reply.

last time

he had a stepladder
read the review
is nice

You have your day wrong

It's tomorrow, Thursday (your tomorrow would have been today because you started the thread yesterday)

See the gig posted here:

http://groups.myspace.com/birminghamgigs

No, wrong again

It's Friday

rolo tomassi

are supporting in birmingham

you lucky people

Trencher = awesome.

I love Rolo Tomassi, too, though.

I'm DJing between bands tonight.

Do come over and say hello.

I shall

But I've seen Trencher more than once and have one of their records and I still really dislike them.

i played with trencher

awhile ago i think, and i remember thinking 'this is cool' for about 2 or 3 tracks, then the novelty kinda wore off.
although their bass amp nearly melted my face.

what did you play?

was it 'silly buggers'?

*abandon reply*

youre djing?

cool.
i may say hello if you dont look too scary
;)

i might say hi

if you don't look too sweaty
i know your sort

I know

your mum

small world!

me too!

is she coming?

get her to introduce us?

trencher are awesome too?!

you nutter.

im seeing Minus The Bear, These Arms Are Snakes and This Et Al all together at Sheffield on sunday, should be good.

better gig!

i'm going

i'm ill

TAAS better not be crappy again

I'm going

I hope they have the stepladder again.

Quite looking forward to seeing Trencher as well.

These Arms Are Snakes

have some awesome supports this tour:

Rolo Tomassi @ Birmingham
Trencher @ London
w/Minus the Bear + This Et Al @ Sheffield
Whoresx3 @ Leeds
KONG @ Manchester
That Fucking Tank @ Sunderland

as well as French Toast supporting for the whole thing.

french toast arent doing it

i dont think?? theyre not doing any of the dates at all as far as i know...

FRENCH TOAST?

Not tonight...

Although that'd be rad.

i got told

French Toast were doing the whole tour?

maybe some cunt has misinformed me...

is it just

Trencher supporting tonight then?

No...

...Jodie's new band is playing too.

As in Jodie, former singer in Bullet Union.

According to Sunderland site

a band called The NX are playing too.

Ne1 know anything about them?

I'm

going to see them tonight, scared i'm gonna get mugged coming home.. :(

where

can you buy it at half six on a wednesday?
plus i can't afford it...

this was...

Soooo good.

TAAS are one of the best live acts I've ever seen. They never disappoint

Indeed!

they were ace. I thought Trencher were brilliant as well. Although, I hope the TAAS singer (Steve?) is ok, he took a nasty fall at the end :S

he did?

i saw him stagedive at the end but i didnt see him fall...

great gig though. and they played 'bad news' which is my favourite track.
must get hold of the other album though, as some of the stuff i didnt recognise was really impressive.
i like the way alot of their songs are arranged alot like dance music- and i dont mean that in a bad way; just the way they loop riffs and build them and then break into something massive.
anyways, im rambling.
I thought it was great.

Yeah, I saw the fall...

I was right down the front and I think he cracked his back on one of the monitors during the encore. Ouch. He stumbled off the stage holding his back so fingers crossed he's alright for the other dates

you never hurt yourself onstage

being onstage is like being drunk.

then you come offstage and all of a sudden the PAIN hits you!

poor guy. hope hes alright.
its weird actually, ive not actually seen the band before, only heard them and i was kinda thrown by how different the singer looked to how his voice sounds, heh!

I was at the front!

were you standing next to me by any chance? (I was wearing light coloured t-shirt and glasses). I hope he's ok for the other dates as well! Poor guy.

You should definitely get hold of their second album Kate, it's brilliant. 'Crazy Woman Dirty Train' sounded fantastic live :D Also, I think I walked past you a few times, but I wasn't sure if it was you, and I didn't have the courage to introduce myself.

um, i was nearer the back

on the right hand side and then we moved left.
you shoulda said hi. i dont bite.
but hello anyways
:)
will deffo get hold of that other album though. is it not the first one?

your description rings a bell!

I was at the front on the right hand side of the stage stood next to Mr Diver i think.

I like the second LP a lot and it fleshes out a lot live, but I don't think it's as great as their debut. Did they play a couple of songs from their EP too? I didn't recognise two tracks near the end, like the one which Steve introduced by saying they'd be killed if they didn't play it. Any ideas?

ah right!

yeah, they played "riding the grape dragon" at the end and "drinking from the necks..." (both from the ep) was the one he introduced. They played a good mix I thought. 'The Shit Sisters' was great as well :)

Think I saw you, chiaroscuro and Stealthy.

...

Oh, that WAS you.

I only didn't say hey because I've seen in my life literally 12 people who could be your exact doubles. That's a risk I can't take.

dare to doubt my word eh?

I never forget a face. You will learn this.

I failed to say hello to anyone again

you were standing right in front of us I think (Kate). Your boyfriend has long hair and glasses?

At one point I saw Crablin and said "Oh look its Crablin!" and I think he looked at me funny.

yes

in fact we both have long hair and glasses
heh!
did u see the guitarist walk into the audience?
he almost tripped me up with his cable

Anyone know?

The name of the first support act that were on before Trencher? I've been trawling the net looking for a name with no luck!

hope these work:

^Trencher live! :D

Ahh

this sounds awesome. I was deliberating over going to this tomorrow, or going to see a japanese film entitled "stray cat rock: sex hunter"

it was a tough descision, but TAAS won out.

:D

yes, TAAS always win! have a good time! :)
