i hate you gareth.
if we'd have got owen to play 'carload of whatever', that would officially make you the luckiest boy of the year.
ung.
that was the first mountain goats song i ever heard!
you were at the bristol gig when owen did play 'carload of whatever' weren't you? so maybe that makes up for it. i was happy enough that he just responded to our shouts at the louisiana: "no bangers".
and he drew a shark on my record.

Death Cab in Manchester (and to a lesser extent Leeds),
Okkervil River,
Tilly & The Wall,
Jens Lekman,
British Sea Power,
Jenny Lewis + Johnathan Rice,
David Thomas Broughton (4 Times! Highlight: Chinchilla Fest, first time I saw him and was just amazed)
The Shins,
The Leeds Folk Collective (Ben Wetherill, Sam Berrett, David Thomas Broughton, Fran Rodgers all forming a local supergroup to play their own individual songs as a group, and traditional folk covers (including sea shanties!) in a church!)
that was absolutely life-changing, but Tiger Force at 93 Feet East were aces,as were Kaito supporting The Liars (if only because it's the last time I'll see them). But I think my prize goes to CSS at Dingwalls.
