Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Jarvis Cocker and Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian fame are to contribute to a compilation centering on the theme of childhood.
Songs For The Young At Heart, which also features Cerys Matthews and The Tindersticks' Stuart Staples, will be comprised of covers of children's songs and stories.
Staples and fellow Tinderstick Dave Boulter were inspired to put the album together after music triggered memories of their youth. It is to be released some time next year.

with a rock in my hand and a rose between your teeth.

how is bonny prince billy ever going to summon up the irrepressible chirpiness required to perform Puff the Magic Dragon?
fantastic
that's a good one, if Nick Cave wouldn't have lost in the last two/three albums it would be nice to have him there too, shame though
