Brass Eye

I got the brass eye dvd a few weeks ago and have to say it's the funniest things i've seen in ages. The episodes on animals and paedophilia are pure genius. Is anyone else a fan?

Got the DVD for my birthday in November. Definately one of the funniest TV shows ever. Have you got The Day Today yet? More Chris Morris genius comedy....it's similar to Brass Eye but it's a news pogramme format, rather than documentary.
  • Re: Brass Eye

It is genius. "They attract sharks...they insist on being seated at the captain's table...they MUCK ABOUT..."
    • Re: Brass Eye

its nonsense, and i love it. day today is better i think, its more nonsense.
  • Re: Brass Eye

Chris Morris is a comedy genius.

    Discuss.
    • Re: Brass Eye

Brass Eye was very probably the funniest show ever. End of.

      "Welcome to Paedogeddon..."
      • Re: Brass Eye

And on one of my devils advocate controversial stances, no it wasn't. It was ok, with touches of brilliance.

He walks a very fine line between funny and very tasteless. I really loved Blue Jam; most consistent thing he's done.
          • Re: Brass Eye

i don't know about tasteless so much as dull - he tends to stretch/repeat the joke at points. That said Blue Jam was his best work - the tv series didnt quite replicate it but it was good in it's own right (the only tv series on channel 4 to have no ad breaks)

I've got him doing two Breezeblock dj sets.
  • Re: Brass Eye

My mate used to work finding film clips for many shows including Brass Eye.

One time, Chris Morris needed a scene with a large amount of people crying, and told my mate to look at things like the Hatfield train crash....he's totally devoid of morals.

    Very funny, though.
