Canadia's Arcade Fire will make a limited number of tickets available on the door before their London shows next week.
The move is intended to help fight the battle against touts, and will mean that 50 fresh, shiny tickets per night will be on sale from the ticket offices of St John's Church and Porchester Hall on a first come, first served basis.
You have to have cash though, yeah? Sixteen of them pounds per ticket, which'll see you immediately fitted up with a wristband so you can't go and sell it off to some poor mug ten metres up the street for a monkey.
Good stuff.
Good luck getting these
time to talk tatics
what time do you reckon you'll need to be there for
Hmmm
I reckon theres's already a queue started.
Seriously, four nights at the Brixton sold out darn quick. I like them, I like them a lot in fact, but I never realised they were this big. Next tour will be a week at Milton Keynes.
I'M GOING TO BRIXTON
with patrick wolf too...
ACE
What happened about cancelling the ebay toutted ones?
Did that happen? Is this where these extras have come from?
Too little to late?
The odds... 500-1? All this running around can't be good at my age. Abandoning ship while I still have my legs!
all you need to do is turn up, count the number of people in the queue
and if it's more than 50, go do something else. if it's less than 50, join.
right?
or
you mean there's 5, and they're all buying 10 tickets each?
hmm this is REALLY irritating
because it means the first 50 people in the venue will be the people getting these spare tickets, and so on every single night people who got their tickets when they went on sale wont be able to be at the front.
and that's bad why?
Seems fair to me. It's a standing venue.
and the poor fuckers
that have been queueing outside for the last 3 days get to the front? Is that a bad thing?
yes
dirty scum.
