my vote:
Radiohead. Killer Cars.
something like 5 different versions came out as bsides during the period of the first two albums.
altogether now 'lock me up in the back of ca-ar!'

Yeah I've got a few of the ep's / singles
and it seems to be on alot of them.
i hate that song so so much
who was it that rereleased a single about four times? editors maybe?
that goo goo dolls
single has been out 3 or 4 times now
aren't the automatic
rereleasing monster? THAT is pointless
the automatic
...have released about 9 singles of this album. shame theres only been 3 songs, every time i listen to xfm its "thats Raoul the new single by the Automatic" its confusing. I keep thinking ive travelled back in time.
Serafin
day by day was released a lot.
With no success...
oh, that song were the singer goes
farther farther - or somethign like that?
you know what i mean?
i think the 2nd release was a re-recorded version?
You mean Longview
They released that a few times, yeah. The eejits. I got pissed off with all of the re-releases last year, most of which didn't make any ruddy difference to anything at all.
I'm looking at you, The Futureheads.
just for the record
that wasnt the bands fault (in the case of longview), it was the label being fuckwits. although signing to a major in the first place i guess you have to expect moves like this.
will their second album
be released someday...
heh
i expect so yes.
they are lucky
then...
Record company must have already lost a lot of money on them...
.
didnt they actually re-record the whole album or something? Bloody ridiculous that was. Further got re-released about 4 times
No
Only Further and Falling Without You got re-recorded. And Further was released THREE times, one of those as a limited edition. It is true though, that last release of Further was a piss-take. It was so over-produced and the gospel singers sucked away the intimacy/majesty of the original version. Thats why I always stick with the first version of Mercury! Now Long-View are focusing on album two they won't be re-releasing anymore songs thank god...I hope. Sticking to the main subject of this thread I'll go with I Predict A Riot and Slow Hands.
engerica
seemed to reuse the same songs over and over again for years.
which i would assume helped lead to their downfall
I wholheartedly concur.
My Demise, for instance. Cracking song, but:
First single
B-side to Trick Or Treat?
Re-released as a double A-side
Then appeared on the album.
Bizarre. Especially as they had loads of other songs: enough to make a good 2nd album.
Killer Cars is one of the best Radiohead songs, though
Certainly from that period.
Also there are only 3 official versions:
- The live acoustic version on the Creep EP, re-released on the Itch EP and certainly on the Aussie Tour EP.
- The full band electric version High & Dry/Planet Telex single.
- The Mogadon version on the Just single.
They're all really different, though.
If you want stupid releases check out how many (mostly shit) remixes of Planet Telex there were!

killer cars is absolute unadulterated embarassingly dire shite. it's one of the worst things i've ever heard let alone a radiohead song.
it's just so rubbish i can't understand how you like it. the whole sentiments and lyrics are so cringe inducingly awful and and AAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHH!!!!!
but they all driiiiiive
killer caaaaars
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
:'(
Well it's not a song I can imagine them doing now
but Thom's always hated cars. I kind of agree with him on that.
But I like it more because it comes from the period when I was a mad Radiohead fan, than anything else.
Anyway, you can talk, COLDPLAY BOY! It's pretty much the template for every soulless by-the-numbers rip-off acoustic Coldplay song Chris Martin ever wrote...
coldplay boy?
you're the one that likes the new album...
also, you're wrong.
I like four tracks off the new album
You like their entire back catalogue. Nutter.
no
i think parachutes is a decent indie quitar album. i like maybe half of rush of blood. and think x and y is the blandest thing i've ever heard.
liek duh.
you lose. u2 fan.
I really like Coldplay
'Coldplay Boy'
Insults like this = proof that the insulter doesn't like to listen to unfashionable music?
Ridiculous.
Come on, remember that talk we had about developing a sense of humour?
You see what I did there was use a healthy dose of irony by playing off PRECISELY what you're talking about.
If you read my posts in your 'Coldplay' thread it might clear things up for you a bit.
Killer Cars is a bit rubbish
Stupid Car is better
Now I KNOW you're joking
:D
yes
killer cars is IMMENSELY rubbish
THE CARDIGANS
i predict a freakin riot?
I kind of wish
they had re-released that again as the lead off their second album.
Instead we got Oooby Dooby Dooby DOOBAY!
bloc party - tulips
springs to mind.
*cough*
