The organisers of T in the Park have announced details of who will be playing when at this year's festival. It's much the same as who's playing everywhere else.
The event, which runs for two or three nights depending on what sort of ticket you have, will see headline slots from Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and Snow Patrol. You'll only be able to see Arctic Monkeys if you have camping tickets, however - Friday is strictly campers only. Kinross, Scotland will be invaded by drunken indie swarms for the weekend running 6th-8th July.
Here's the full-fat version of the line-up so far:

as much as im loving the fact
i'll get to see arcade fire, thats a terrible position to put them on in.
other than the headliners this will still be great.
I want to go...
...because Kings of Leon are good and Tori Amos is a bit ginger.
Arcade Fire are also good and I want to Sit Down when James sing their song as I've never done that before.
I'm such a c*nt.
utter pish
This is a god awfull line up with few saving graces.
im form scotland and in all honesty t in the park is a shite festival badly orgranised and filled by dicks. the line up each get worse..
snow patrol headling pah they should be shot..

bring on reading smashing pumkins and other good stuff i have faith that it'll be good
how horrific
Radio One-friendly tedium (with the obvious exceptions of the Arcade Fire and Tori Amos if she doesn't play too much of the newer stuff). Won't be wasting my money this year (I don't have any money anyway).
Ned-Fest!
Yes, the lineup gets worse every year and the festival gets filled by more dicks every year.
I enjoyed it a lot 5-10 years ago, but had a "never again" epiphany a couple of years ago.
Arcade Fire are in danger of getting treated with flying cups-of-piss in between two idiot-friendly bands like James and Razorlight. Especially on the Saturday.
yeah
i think "invaded by drunken indie swarms" should just be read as "invaded by drunken glaswegians"
"Idiot-friendly"
it's so true, and so succintly put.
I count 3 good bands
quite a few average ones, and a lot of shit ones.
Never mind.
if this is middle of the road...
HOW THE FUCK IS V FESTIVAL GOING TO LOOK THIS YEAR??? Uuurgh, just imagine...
Never fear,
Only some of the acts have been announced so there should be some better bands further down the bill. For instance, the Pet Sounds tent hasn't announced a headliner for Saturday yet- The Shins perhaps? Still an alright lineup, I'm looking forward to the following:
Arctic Monkeys
Bloc Party
Arcade Fire
Klaxons
Babyshambles
Snow Patrol (sigh, I know)
Kasabian
Interpol
Maximo Park
the lineup for this gets worse every year
even in previous years, there's been an interesting something or other in there amongst that year's generic automatic q-magazine choices. but this year there really isn't. in previous years there was wu-tang clan or bowie, for example (even though the wu-tang clan are awful live and bowie ended up not playing anyway....uhm, yeah). arcade fire are great, but i'll imagine they'll be at a whole load of festivals this summer so not a very inspired choice. tori amos is the only thing there that seems to be in any way interesting, hopefully they'll be other interesting stuff down the pet sounds arena list. but still, i'm sure not paying £62.50 to wander around for a day in a hot dirty field filled with drunk arseholes just so i can see tori amos and, i dunno, beirut or something
i also saw in the evening times they've got it advertised on the front page as a "star-studded lineup!!".....as if they would otherwise have expected the headliners to be evan parker, the red krayola, and camp lo or something
connect
I bet DF are saving all the good bands for 'Connect'. In fact, I know they are.
I just cant decide...
whether I want to go or not.
With that line up only Arcade Fire, CSS, Bloc Party and the Goo Goo Dolls really excite me.
Yeah, I said the Goo Goo Dolls. Shoot me if you like, but I loveed them 6 years ago and i've never got to see them.
:)
Goo Goo Ga Ga
Yeah, would be nice to see the Sell Out Kings. Dizzy Up the girl was the soundtrack to many a room change around throughout my teen years. Dont know why, it just was.
Been last few years, and they freaking hate English People. Really, really hate them.
Had quite a good time avoiding all the big names last year, there were lots of small bands to watch with small crowds cos all the asses were watching the chili peppers or whatever
Phoenix
Death Cab for Cutie
Seth Lakeman
Gomez
Ben Harper
CYHSY
Cribs
Bell x1
Guillemots
Rifles
Xavier Rudd
Pretty Girls Make Graves
Captain
Eels
Maccabees
not a bad little festival i had last year. shame it rained
T
Sigur Ros were amazing in the pet sounds arena last year. better organised then reading, and there are less annoying drunk public school brats clogging up the place
xgfjh
your all arsehles, middle classed jump up cunts, this is the greatest line up to a festival ever, try going to readng,i am and its goign to be painful this year, nto literally it will be bitching but still, fuck you all
