inspired by the "ten types of DiS poster" thread i made this. its what people post about 'n' that.

1. bloc party are good/shite.
2. what pete/johnny borell are up to today.
3. nme is shite (strange when you consider no.2).
4. people who have no pics on profile (843 posts y'know).
5. something about keane.
6. something about simpsons/family guy/ little britain.
7. misc.
8. stupid lists. (i realise the irony)

            That part is one of the best from the entire series of brasseye.

            There is a parent riot currently in Leeds which started after a paedophile in a microlight committed an overhead perversion at Headingly stadium. But police helicopters soon chased him into pylons where he crashed screaming like a pig in a war.

        i think abuse isn't heavy enough. hurling anvils though has some mileage perhaps... appart from the accuracy problem. what about using one of those machines made especially to hurl little sharp pieces of metal, what are they called? you know, they're all the rage in the army...

                    Oh funny. Erm the last line though, no. I hate a-crying to. Who are you poking fun at indie bands NME style? Plus I don't see Keane in it because they don't have much guitar going on. Cash Cow is my favourite line though.

                    mopey indie bands really arent very fashionable
                    popular, yes, fashionable and "now", no.

                    agressive indie-electro is more the cliche of the now (or a least a coupla years back).

                    that doesnt make it bad, just, as i see it, misdirected.

                      There is nowhere near enough "indie-electro" (?) for it be a cliche. The few bands there are that are noteworthy have not penetrated the mainstream in any real way. I think you are jumping the gun by a long way when you are pronouncing developing or semi-underground movements as a cliche...

                      But then you knew when you posted that I would completely disagree with you. And, of course, I do. When we are seeing "aggressive indie-electro" on CD:UK every week maybe you will have a point, but for now it's still the killers and keane that are defining 'now' for most people.

                                i occassionally do extra percussion for them live and silly little stuff, and do their lights when i can. and my old band used to share drummers with them. and i love them. hard.
