The Race get Foppish

The Race

Berkshire indie-rock types The Race are to promote their new single ‘Comfort, Comfort’ with a series of instore shows at cheap-as-chips retailer Fopp this month, visiting seven shops in seven days. Whenever I see the phrase ‘seven days’ I think of that Craig David song – whatever happened to him?

Anyway, dates yeah?

March
19 London Tottenham Court Road Fopp
20 Oxford Fopp
21 Cardiff Fopp
22 Brighton Fopp
23 Southampton Fopp
24 Bristol Fopp
25 Reading Fopp

Comfort, Comfort’ is taken from the album Be Your Alibi, out now on Shifty Disco.

  • I don't know who

The Race are but i think it's a bit rubbish that they are not playing in a Glasgow Fopp store.

Being that Fopp was actually born in Glasgow's West End.

Just a meaningless rant here really.

  • Wow

I honestly don't know where exactly they'll fit in the Cardiff shop. It's tiny!

    • This band kicks arse

But 'Comfort Comfort' is a poor choice for single, they really should have gone with 'So Young And Beautiful'. Why is that track so criminally overlooked?!?!

  • there's about

    3 Fopps in Bristol...

    • Bristol

      It's at the Horsefairs branch.

The Southampton Fopp is obviously the Marlands store, not East Street.

(No points for guessing where I work)

      • Craig David

Currently serving as shop assistant at Footlocker in Westquay

        • ...

And with one sentence they invent musical cluedo.

          What did Win Butler see?

          • yay

this band are so good live.

  • The Race kick ass

The Race are grrrrrreeeeaaaatttt!!!!! (as Tony would say).

Get along to a Fopp store if they're coming near you, and see this very excellent band for free. And then buy their single and their album.

    You will not be disappointed!

    • true fact

i played a game of football while watching the race play out of a lorry at my friends festival last year. it was awesome.
