Our Velocity... I'm sure, sure it does, but no-one seems to know what I'm on about.
The verse. What Nirvana song is it ripping off?

Maybe it's a Hole riff.
I don't think they are ripping off Nirvana.
nah
it's not good enough to be a riff from a Hole song ;-)
don't start this again!
I'm gonna go mental
I just
can't quite remember. maybe it was that nirvana song that's only ever been played in my head...
to save face I'll have a little investigate this evening and report back

Yeah!
You are sort of right!
How about Kurt Cobain's voice. So cool! I predict Nirvana will be the next Smashing Pumpkins.
Aha!
Good comparison, I knew I recognised it...
I've said it once and I'll say it again
It's movement by LCD Soundystem!

speeded up
thats actually the first time ive heard Eighties
its the almost identical guitar sound that makes it so bad
Nice find
Didn't realise the whole Killing Joke/Come as You Are thing. Fascinating subject though, the whole "interpretation" thing in music. Think that most of what we hear has been lifted from another source anyway, so it doesn't really matter, e.g Nick Drake "Parasite" + Radiohead "Subterranean..."
killing joke are
grohls favourite band
he played drums on one of their albums because nirvana thieved the eighties tune
...and Smells Like Teen Spirit
was half-inched from Boston's More Than A Feeling.
