I just watched this for the second time. I still can't decide whether its shlocky disposable crud or meaningful artistic statement. DiScuss.

I think it's pretty great
The casting of Robert Downey Jr doesn't help matters but otherwise it's very good and also quite pertinent in today's TV saturated world.
Watch Man Bites Dog for a film that exemplifies the final third of that film in glorious, horrible perfection.
yeah the first 2/3rds I can take or leave
except the dangerfield bit- that's clever.
The last 3rd is really really good.
Man Bites Dog
Please, watch it :)
Will do
though the title reminds me of learning about german grammar- subjects and objects.
hahaha
It's a Belgian film.
One of the few truly disturbing things I've ever seen. And I mean that in a completely complimentary sense :)
the first one.
the first one.
oops.
the schlocky disposable
crudness IS the meaningful artistic statement
It is wonderful
powerful, Daily Mail shocka! inducing art that just happens to be a pile of shmaltzy cack of a film. Great, the only good film Stone made.
errrr, platoon?
Any Given Sunday
Seriously, a great film.
"cause life's this game of inches"
amazing. My friend has this tattooed across his back.
<3 <3 <3
American Football movies are my second favourite genre to zombie films.
you ever seen friday night lights?
i saw that the other night
really enjoyed it, despite knowing very little about american football. It's great because it really shows how fleeting their moments of glory are before everything goes downhill for them.
the
TV series that was based on the movie and the book is absolutely amazing. I suggest everyone checks it out.
The film was good..........but the TV show is something else!
YES
:o
An American Football film with Explosions In The Sky doing the soundtrack.
It really shouldn't work but it's truly amazing :D :D :D
Explosion In The Sky
provide a lot of the soundtrack to the TV series as well.
It's one of the best shoes i've seen in years!
eeek
yeah. Okay, yeah I was wrong there.
its not a meaningful artistic statement
and if it was meant to be Id say it probably misses its intended target completely.
Man bites dog is good though.
Oliver Stone
anything directed by Oliver stone is fuckin great
